Yeah I searched for that - fark me he dealt to that workout. Clever strategy of throwing it down just a bit to try and catch it on the bounce, he is a fit, fit dude!

Could you take him Kirwan!!?
They are slams, so you have to throw it down like that.

And as the first set was with a 32kg ball, not a freaking chance!

But didn't the instructor guy say not to waste any energy putting it down?? he said just drop it once he (Owen) had it fully extended over his head...
Oh, you meant the first exercise. Yeah, on the bounce is smart there, but it's still work with that weight. He's a freaking machine, in the other videos they talk about his lifts and fitness being up there with the best Crossfitters in the world.

Really enjoyed watching those last night.

I may be completely wrong but Owen Franks looks as though he could 'learn' how to become an Olympic Gold medalist weight lifter. Just seems so dedicated

You would clean up in Crossfit IMO. With the type of fitness you get and your strength you would only need to learn the skills stuff.

I will post a photo I took from my book of the Franks boys with their Dad Ken in their CHCH CF gym when I get home from work tonight.

Was watching CF world games on ESPN last night. The chicks were incredible, 100% functional athletic muscle.

The power to weight ratio is very impressive for the women. Completely explodes the myth that lifting heavy weights will bulk you up. Crossfit woman are just lean muscle and awesome six packs.

I think pound for pound that Vanessa is now out benching me and out squatting me. I know in the squats, don't want to work out the bench, what I don't know can't hurt me... Chicks lifting heavy weights rocks. and she sure as hell is not a bulky she man!!

6 sets of 20 with a 10kg ball was enough to wipe me out today!

another 4 sets of 20 plus 2 of 25 and in between sets running/walking up and down about half a dozen steps, tried to do some weights and hit the punch ball for a time after, but pretty well knackered...super unfit!
