@taniwharugby - never in doubt! It's not like we were playing Germans!

Actually, we were all over the Aussies - though at 3-1 you could still see a burglary happening, but 4-1 was safe.

GAH. After a truly superb 4th quarter where the Tall Blacks made up a 20pt deficit, Canada win with a three pointer on the buzzer.

Stoked for that win. I think Hager has done great things for us but we've had some tough loses particularly against Australia.

Good news from the Squash, King and Landers-Murphy beat the Aussies in the women's doubles semi and will now play for gold.

And David Nyika outclasses his Australian opponent to win gold!!!

Don't need to wait for a decision! 🙂

GAH. Five Kiwis in the front and we couldn't get one medal. They fucked up the last few kms big time.

Man that road race outcome was disappointing.

I thought we should have sent someone across to the leading threesome on the tail of Luke Rowe and we would have had two riders in a five man leading group - one of whom was the Englishman who'd been out there all day, plus Meyer and Rowe who'd both done plenty of work. And about 3km to ride.

Instead we dragged the Aussie sprinter back into the race and I'm not sure who was supposed to win for NZ - I can only assume Archibold, who blew things completely with an early move and clearly had nothing in his legs when push came to shove.

I think most of us would be thrilled with bronze, TBH.
