Yep. The dude that he wasted there was Bob Wall. He was a legit badass martial artist. Fucken awesome flick.

Game of Death arguably better though ? Hard to say.

    Predator over Commando for me.

    Last Action Hero holds up.

Rambo First Blood should have been in Beevor's list. Still one of my all time favourite movies. As relevant today as it was then.

    Possibly more so.

What a great time to be alive. Arnie, Sly, Bruce Willis as John McClane, Lundgren, Van Damm. Basically all of the cast of the Expendables all in their prime

Cmon now, Channing Tatum, Matt Damon and Gerard Butler have filled the void...

    Fuck it.

    @rancid-schnitzel I don't mind Matt Damon.

But I also think the movies have changed a lot, some seem to take themselves seriously as real movies instead of what they are, action films.

No surprise that movies like John Wick are successes cos its just sit down, strap in and enjoy the ride, storyline is secondary to body count.

The Rock is good. Can play all sorts of roles, can be funny too. He was great in Jumanji

Yeah the Rock is legit. Liam Neeson also gets away with it as a poor man's Bruce Willis.

Yep the Rock is a natural successor to Arnie. Another who is a very surprisingly good actor is Bautista. He was very 'method' in Blade Runner 2.

Mind you, the bar for wrestlers turned actors wasn't particularly high. I challenge any of you to find a worse movie trailer than this....

Yeah the Rock is legit. Liam Neeson also gets away with it as a poor man's Bruce Willis.

Arguably Willis is a poor mans Willis now - Liam is the grandfather of the geriatric action stars. I want to see a Keanu, Denzel, Liam Wick/Taken/Equalizer crossover where they join up to beat the shit out of everyone!

Willis was great in Death Wish.

I always liked the real old school hard fluffybunnies like Charles Bronson, Jack Palance, Robert Mitchum and of course the king of them all the birthday boy himself Clint Eastwood.

I liked Willis in Red too. As for Clint, he's the man. He was in some great 70s and 80s action flicks. Spaghetti westerns, Dirty Harry, this guy

Heartbreak Ridge had some great scenes.

I loved a few of his lesser known efforts like Coogans Bluff and the Eiger Sanction as well.

Without a doubt THE coolest man to ever walk the planet.

Eiger Sanction. Is that the one in which he's sitting on the top of a massive fuck off mountain? Just dangling his feet thousand of feet above ground?

You got it. He did virtually all his own stunts in every movie too which just adds to the overall awesomeness of the man.
