Had the stress test. Cardiologist said he wasn't overly worried but saw what he called a "wobble" in heart function under stress.

Given the old man had a history, wants me to go get a heart CT so he can have a closer look at any plaque buildup in the coronary area, and baseline my situation so we can keep an eye on it.

Focus for me will be fixing my shitty cholesterol and getting basic activity going again.

Heart CT done. Awesome experience that I don't necessarily recommend.

    1. take a tablet that slows your heart rate, allowing for better imagery. Mine got to about 50bpm and typical suits between 70 and 80 in my current unfit fat fuck state. Takes about an hour for effect and I did my BP every 15 minutes to see the effect. Cool!

    2. lie back on a bench while a young Asian lass shaves small parts of your chest for the electro thingies. This was in addition to the larger parts of my chest shaved for the stress test (which according to the kids is "in the shape of a butt!")

    3. get hooked up in the machine, where they do a test run and prep the contrast dye catheter in your arm for imaging

    4. get injected with the dye which immediately gives you a metallic taste in your mouth, and an extremely warm sensation in your chest and balls - like you just dipped the jatz crackers into a hot bath.

    5. hold your breath a few times while they take snaps. Five minutes tops.

    6. sit around for ten minutes after to make sure nothing bad is going to happen.

Back to the cardiologist Thursday - while taking the pictures is a five minute exercise, interpreting them takes longer. Fingers crossed nothing too bad.

Walk this morning: 4km in 35 minutes.

I jogged the second km and the last few hundred metres. Didn't feel too bad besides the aura. I'll move onto jogging longer distances next week.

    "Current model" - 16th June 2018
    103.4kg - Chest 120cm - Waist 112cm - Hips 112cm

    Today: 101.6kg - Chest 118cm - Waist 111cm - Hips 112cm

This week was -1.8kg and -3cm

Loving the first week πŸ˜‰ Gives you a chance to lose the bloat and have a cracking start with the most basic exercise and diet changes.

Will be interesting to see what the rate of change can be as I increase the exercise. I'll be aiming for half a kilo per week as a minimum, and see where I can get to by September 1 - from here it would be 96.6kg.

@nta Good on ya. I don’t have measurements but have loss about 15 over the past month or so. Good to fit into some shorts that had been lying on the shelf.

@broughie mate exactly! There are some nice jeans I bought at 34 inch waist and I'd like to attempt them without a shoehorn and oxygen tank...

@nta LOL. Like the girls in the 70’s, showing my age, with their sprayed on jeans. The stories that were told of their friend holding the jeans for them while they jumped into them. Heck, 34. I just fitting into a 36 so I got some catch up.

@nta you should do that easy bro!

thats the thing that cracks me up on those biggest loser and other weight type programmes (Mrs TR watches them) you get these people that way 150-200kg and after a month they have only managed to lose 2kg or something pathetic, and while yes any weight loss is worth celebrating for them, at that weight, if they are on a diet recommended by a Dr and doing any exercise, they should be losing 3 times that much.

I weighed in at 93.5kg on Wed, which is the lowest I've been in maybe 5 years or so, all down to eating less, and is a loss of 5kg in 3 months...I should do some measurements too, I think I have a record of mineself when I was at my highest ever weight of 103kg too!! 😲

@taniwharugby I've got the spreadsheet with all my stuff in it, and charts to go with. It is instructional to look at the summaries:

Started to plateau once I got into the low 90s. Reckon that's about where I need to stay.

Fark. Found this picture from 6 years ago (~100kg) and I don't think I have these jeans any more because they got too big!

Walk this morning. Would have been more of a run but The Boy (14, nearly my height) insisted on tagging along.

He slow as fuck. And not just the walking.

I was up just after 6 and it took the little bastard nearly 15 minutes to get ready πŸ™„ then once we're on the road I had to remind him how to power walk and then, when I wanted to do a 1km jog he conked out after about 700 metres. Soft.

3km in 29 minutes. Fuck that.

Went for a walk at lunch today - wanted to test my HR and so first km was fast walking pace: 125 BPM.
Second km slightly more relaxed: 120 BPM.
Did about 2.3km all up in around 26 minutes.

Some bodyweight when I got home tonight:
    30s plank
    4 chinups
    20 squats
    10 pushups
    10 lunges each side
    1 minute rest

Set myself up for 10 minutes as a starter.
Got 2 sets out + 30s plank + 2 chinups when the timer hit.

Heart rate shortly after conclusion: 132 BPM
Ten minute rest and hydration: 100 BPM
