    When’s the team named again?

With Crotty and Ioane definitely ruled out some forced changes to the starting lineup and bench.

I think ALB comes straight into the starting 12 shirt. From what I could see there was some alternating by ALB and Goodhue in their attacking positions. ALB has started at both 12 and 13 for the ABs. Laumape comes on to the bench where he’s played that role for us previously.

Ioane has been a mainstay on the left wing since coming into the side. Two years ago when we played the Wallabies we played Naholo on the left wing and had Bender at 14 and Dagg at fullback. We pumped them by a similar margin as Saturday.

I thinks it’s very possible we see DMac start at fullback and then it’s a question of whether we go with Richie or Jordie on the bench.

The other option is for Skudder to come straight into the starting lineup to pair with Naholo and Smith and DMac is kept in the same role.

Forwards should be unchanged unless Ofa has made a miracle recovery.

    @kiwimurph Neat!

    And so it should too.

Prefer our home test purely for the reason when Retallick does awesome stuff, I can whoop very loudly without worrying about waking True-Love.

@kiwimurph I hope the NZ crowd will turn up for the Black Ferns game as well. It has been made so easy to watch them play by making it a double-header. People only have to turn up earlier; that's all.

to be fair, it was sold out a week and a half ago when I was trying to get some tickets for a mate. there were some available, but they got snapped up super quickly.

apparently SBW has been training with the team, so adds to the mystery about what to do, as you assume if fit, he slots straight back to 12, meaning it is ALB/Goodhue shootout for 13.

Midfield couldn't be any more straighforward for mine; keep the combination that went so well for 68 minutes on Saturday night.

In the outside backs, I think the selectors will probably think their next-best player is J Barrett so I'd expect to see him at FB and Smith and Naholo on the wings.

Mate, I disagree. I think an SBW/Goodhue midfield would be the shot. Goodhue looks to me to have nailed the 13 slot with his defence and decision making, and I reckon could look the business outside Dubya. Also, SBW at 12 opens up space for Barrett and inside runners -- see Test 1 Lions for a great example of this.

as an aside, anyone know where someone could get their hands on a video of test 1? Tests 2 and 3 are on youtube, but I'm blowed if I can find a copy of the first test match. Err... asking for a friend?

And want to actually want to watch the black ferns. I want to watch that game as about as much as watching the Mens NZ Netball team

What are we going to do with Harris? He's never impressed whenever he has come on off the bench and his lineout throwing is suspect. I would rather see Coltman get the bench spot until Coles becomes available.

Does anyone know what's the latest with Aumua? It's a shame he got injured this year, this RC would have been the perfect opportunity to develop him in the AB environment.

Hang on, one poster made a comment that SBW has been training, and you have him in the team??

What I meant is that the timing of when it is being played probably won't be the reason people decide to turn up to watch.

Agree. I flicked back and forth between that game and whatever was on the other sports channels, but couldn't sit through a full game. The Sevens girls were amazing on the GC - I was there and lost my shit as much as anyone; moreso than in the mens' final even - but watching the girls play fifteens is quite painful.

Sitting through the Black Ferns v Wallaroos XVs game was an absolute treat compared to sitting through the 2018 Blues season.

@hooroo I have heard that excuse plenty of times, when these tests were played at smaller stadiums at inconvenient times (e.g., on a Tueaday afternoon in a normal working week), as they used to be scheduled until quite recently (that example is from last year). But yeah, although I don't understand why people wouldn't want to watch a good rugby match, there are still people who don't want to watch women's rugby, even if it's a test of the 5 times World Champions.

@stargazer for me, when I took TR Jnr to the ABs a year or so back, cant recall what time we arrived but we saw the last 15 or so of the BF game...I am not sure I;d of wanted to be sitting at the stadium for another 90 minutes (after a 2 hour drive, and same home) prior for the BF game as well; as above, the 7s is awesome to watch, 15s on the other hand....

If the RWC games come up here, I will go along, even if the BF arent playing, only cos I support stuff that comes up here (I mean I watched a game of soccer there a few years ago, I hate soccer haha)

For the second week in a row the Black Ferns game will clash with a M10 Cup game. In this instance, it is the Waikato-North Harbour game, which I will be at. NZR and Sky should have kept that window open for the women's test.

I would certainly go to Eden Park early if I was attending.
