@jegga To hell with learning te reo as the top priority.
The thing that should be compulsorily taught from your first day at school is the concept of "opportunity cost". And if you end up working in government you should have to do an annual refresher and sit a test to make sure your grasp isn't slipping (yes, some hypocrisy here - but, I believe the the opportunity cost of my programme for govt officials to be quite low).
You have to fill out fucking forms for the Ministry of Education to investigate if you break up a fight at school.
Jesus wept. What happened to grabbing each of the precious little bastards by the ear and dragging them down to the office for a good strapping?!!!

In education and child care you have to fill out a form for everything
My wife does home based child care, had since our oldest was born
Every single incident no matter how small has to be documented. Like if little Johnny trips over and scratch’s his nose, or shits his undies when he decides not to go to the toilet. All ends up reported, -

@chris-b one of my mates was doing some relief work as a teacher in the UK about 15 years ago, and in his class of 11/12 year olds 2 girls started scrapping...he got the 2 biggest kids to pull them apart.
Then after, one of the girls in tears came to him and tried to hug him, he stepped back and said politely, please dont touch me.

Possibly more emails? Odd turn of phrase, are there possibly emails leaking Simon Bridges expenses in there too?

@jegga Ha!! so she jumped before she had to fess up that there was even more. It's gotten to the point where there appears to have been so much correspondence that her earlier claims about 'not recalling' are just straight out bollocks. So she's gone from being an inept numpty to being outed as an inept numpty liar!!

Our minister for open government, bwahahaha .
This isn’t over either, National must have a fair idea what she’s been doing with that email account and will keep needling away.
-
@jegga St Cindy was on TV this morning saying that anyone can obtain copies of her work related emails through her gmail if they apply under the OIA.
Surely she has deleted a ton of them?
I have had a couple of occasions where someone does not receive emails form my work address (nor do I get theirs sent to my work address) so I send them to my gmail and forward them on and then when they reply to my gmail I forward on as well.
But then I'm not a Minister paid by the tax payer.

@taniwharugby St Jacinda would say that , it’s pretty obvious she’s as full of shit as any other politician. Fortunately she doesn’t appear to actually be the pm .
Grab your sick bag before you read this

@taniwharugby Call me old fashioned, but I don't believe ANY government official should be doing work business from a gmail account.
-
@mokey oh I agree...just saying I have had 2 instances where I have had issues with my work emails being recieved, but given the high level of security with what they are doing, I expect they have processes in place for things like this (although in her case, was probably just dumbarseness that she chose to use her gmail for work rather than a tech issue like mine)
-
@taniwharugby Oh yeah, tech issues are a bit different. The Transport Agency had a rubbish server and IT dept, people often had problems with emails (even emailing within the company) getting rejected for some random reason. (Not bad language type reason.) And logging on remotely.

Snigger , after three weeks of nothing but bad news suddenly Ms relentlessly positive is unavailable for interviews
As a bonus , Hooton twists the knife

Jacindas no show is the lead story on the herald , I think we know why she’s pulled the pin though. Currans got her even deeper in the shit , Handleys contract has been terminated no doubt because of the dodgy way he was hired.

The comments are glorious, the press have finally started to turn on labour and even the usual barrage of labour fanboys in the comments section are getting dozens and dozens of downvotes and stuff is actually letting people point out how wrong the fanboys are.
Winston is playing this very well, Shane Jones is gaining more profile and I can see a scenario where Winstons hands the reins over to him . Jones has a track history of working with national so it could be goodbye to Ardern in two years, I'd be a bit worried if I was a green mp right now, the only thing they have got profile for is Golly Gs lying and Davidson trying to reclaim the word fluffybunny.
