@bovidae Excellent. Let's see if anyone other than us is excited enough to post on it.

I am excited about a team that has hopefully actually started to play as one.

But you'll have to tell me about it, because I'm out of TV coverage for the next month.

This is pretty much my only enjoyment of the NPC as I don't care what division we lie in when you play both anyways.

Southland seem to pull it out when playing for the shield so I won't be gobsmacked if we lose and if there is any team I don't mind having the shield, it is Southland. In saying all that, I hope we crush them.

You clearly haven't seen Southland play this season then....

Waikato should win comfortably but Southland have absolutely nothing to lose.

I can't wait for an afternoon game.

Wonder when the last time Waikato fielded a team containing two players from each of Morrinsville Sport and Hautapu?

Scored myself some tickets from the local cafe that sponsors, so taking my son along. Waikato are my second team after Counties and I hope to see some of the young guys in my club in those colours in the future.

Not as long ago as you might think. Hautapu has had heaps of Waikato reps in the last 10 years. MS did have the likes of Leonard, Bradley and Sweeney earlier this decade.

    Kit clash. Again.

Southland's fault entirely for having a neither one nor the other ensemble.

The worst 40 mins of rugby in a while by Waikato but I give Southland credit for being abrasive and forcing mistakes. A much better 2nd half by Waikato and helped by better subs coming on.

5 pts and flush the dunny.
