In his next blog post I bet he names the Rand Corporation in conjunction with the saucer people under the supervision of the reverse vampires are responsible for the poisoning
Update , despite this turds diatribes which have been doing the rounds on left wing blogs it looks like the poms have IDed the poisoners.

@jegga So many intelligence experts over there at the Standard. I really have no idea why the security services bother with all that technology and expense. They should just go straight to Bill, he’ll tell them what’s what, armed only with his googling skills.

The comments are enlightening too, Britain worse than Russia for example . You can guarantee by the third post on any issue it’ll be deflection from the actual issue “ so what , National had nine years to do something about it and did nothing” etc etc .
I’m not sure why they support Russia to such a degree, it’s more of a fascist state than probably any other country. -
@jegga ... from today’s Times:
Two Russian spies were arrested in March on their way to break in to the Swiss chemical weapons laboratory that was analysing the nerve agent used in the Salisbury attack, it has been revealed.
The Russian GRU military intelligence agents were intercepted in the Netherlands while on their way to Switzerland, where investigators believe they were targeting the Spiez laboratory. They were expelled from the country.
The arrests followed a joint operation by the British and Dutch secret services working with the Swiss intelligence, the Nachrichtendienst des Bundes (NDB).
They were equipped with hacking equipment which would have been able to break into the computer network of the laboratory, the country’s institute working on protection against nuclear, biological and chemical threats.
It is the designated lab for the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).
At the time of the arrest, Spiez was investigating poison gas attacks by the Assad regime in Syria and the attack on Sergei Skripal and his daughter in Salisbury.
The Swiss NDB has confirmed the “case of the Russian spies discovered in The Hague and then expelled”.
“The NDB has actively cooperated with the Dutch and British partners. NDB thus contributed to the prevention of illegal actions against a sensitive Swiss infrastructure,” a source said, according to the Dutch newspaper NRC and the Swiss Tages-Anzeiger.
The arrests were not made public at the time, but Mark Rutte, the Dutch prime minister, announced in March the expulsions of “two Russian intelligence agents working at the Russian embassy”.
The Spiez laboratory has confirmed that it was the target of hackers earlier this year. “We have armed ourselves against this. Data has not disappeared,” Andreas Bucher, a spokesman for the laboratory, said.
Despite the arrest, Russia has received secret information from the laboratory. In April, Sergey Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister, said that Russia had received the secret analysis report on Skripal “from a confidential source”.
Intelligence sources told the NRC that Mr Lavrov could not have received the analysis report legally. “Within OPCW protocols, no laboratory reports from designated laboratories are shared with the member states,” a spokesman said.
The two spies were not Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov, the suspects for carrying out the Salisbury attack that later killed Dawn Sturgess, a local woman.
Russia has insisted that it is absurd to accuse Moscow of lying about the Salisbury attack after the television interview yesterday with Mr Petrov and Mr Boshirov.
The men said that they had nothing to do with the attack and described themselves as fitness product salesmen who were only in Salisbury to visit its cathedral, which they described as “famous not just in Europe but in the whole world”.
The Kremlin has said that if Britain makes an official request to interview the two men in Russia then the authorities will examine the possibility. “Without doubt if such a request is made it will be looked at by the Russian side in strict accordance with Russian law,” Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman, said.

I remember this. Spooky as all hell at the time.
Would have been 11 and right into space stuff and aliens and shit.
But this was absolute headline news on TV One (I think we did have more than one channel by then ... and colour TV ... ), and the various newspapers.
Obviously amounted to nothing as we haven't been invaded as yet ... or have we?

A coupla thunks:

Liked the TV One journo's comment: "I note that the number of UFO sightings has greatly diminished since video and digital cameras and phone cameras have became readily available. "
-
Can't remember whether it was the Herald or Dominion who published a cartoon showing Wellington Airport radar picking up an unidentified Santa ... thought it was amusing.

@booboo I remember it, and I worked with / for a couple of the guys involved in the mid "90's. Perfectly sensible people.
This summed it up for me:
""I got over it. Have I ever seen anything like that again? No I haven't. Do I believe in UFOs? No I don't. Pilots see a lot of unidentified flying things. "Would I tell anyone if I saw anything like that again? No I wouldn't. It's not worth the hassle." -
@snowy interesting, I see no reason not to believe that there is other life out there, big ol' universe out there...the only thing would be that surely they'd have made contact by now, although if they see the shit that is going down now (environmental, PCness) maybe the sightings are just pick ups?
