North and Souths latest issue has a cover story written by Nicky Hagar alleging they are guilty of war crimes and rapes . There’s also a story about the difference between sex and gender.
It’s been steadily going down the toilet since Warwick Roger and his wife left , amongst other things they’ve been obsessed with writing stories about convicted murderers being innocent . Hope they get new management who are less woke , it’s garbage now.

It was great once , used to do things like pointing out the damage the pro disease nutters are doing or the militancy of midwives leading to the deaths of babies.and some great longform articles.
Now it’s just mostly rubbish , you can’t publish an article from Hagar and retain credibility. -

I could be out on a limb here but I don't think I'm the only person in New Zealand who thinks Ewen McGregor is more than likely guilty. He used a hammer to bash in the heads of calves, harassed his brother in law for months and burned down his house because he hated him so much. North and South have written three stories trying to prove he's innocent, they tried the same thing with Lundy too and the guy who killed those kids in the Sounds. Putting aside the idiot politics they've decided to follow championing the cause of someone who was found guilty by two juries of killing daughter with a tomahawk and someone who in all likelihood got away with murder is going to be a huge turnoff for readers.

By the way, it's worth reading the Lundy judgement. I skimmed a lot of it (ANORAK ALERT) and it was bloody fascinating.
Came away pretty convinced. I don't think he should have been convicted on Trial 1 as the Police theory was absolutely farked, but looks by all accounts that he did it.
Also, what worries me is you can get convicted (beyond reasonable doubt) based on police theories that are completely farked. The Lundy Five Hundy was born from it, but just not credible to actually ever do that trip, at that time.
