We're fucking robbed. Otago should never had got that penalty after the Otago player was over the line. Fucking officials. 😑

I initially thought that last lineout happened after a blue player botched his set up after the tackle and the ball trickled into touch. Don't think I will be capable of watching the reply to check it out

I don’t know who should be more gutted, you guys for having it stolen at the death, or us for capitulating mid game yet again this season.

Thanks for clearing that up, all my instincts from over 50 years of rugby watching told me there was something not right about it.

Really? That's the ball game there. Oh well, good season for the Magpies at any rate!

I can handle a loss if it's deserved, but we were robbed and I'm livid. O'Keefe, it's always the same with him. We've lost close games before this way, because of him.

Will be cheering for Waikato next week.

    Frustrating.

I was yelling at the TV for HB to kick the bloody ball instead of playing the phases on the own 10m line after Otago closed to 17-19.

That was inexperience .. or wrong option in rugby speak ...

Then when we did kick it after Ioane missed the penalty ... we allowed Collins to slip through which eventually set up the last one.

That last penalty - my original view was Parsons was always part of the maul that broke away and didn't join illegally, he was always there?

But that game was like Ta$man v Canterbury last night - Ta$man/HB dominated the first half for a halftime lead, but second half was almost all Canterbury/Otago.

LOL, the missus just got home with beer, pizza and icecream and still her angry face on, saying that we "should fucking celebrate the fucking win we should have fucking had if it wasn't for that fucking Wellington one-eyed eye doctor and his assistants who fucked it all up."

Not sure what I'm more happy about - my beloved Otago clawing their way back into the game to make the Championship final, or the cacophony of whinging coming from the art-deco homes of suburban Napier.

Let's just call that payback for Ben Franks lying all over the ball at Forsyth Barr in 2013. 😎

@smudge from neutral point of view,I actually thought the better team lost ,but I do think Waikato will not make the same mistakes when Otago returns to Hamilton for the final.
Credit to Josh Ioane for holding his nerve,

If I were a Bay supporter I would I would take solace that you have an extremely young side with outstanding talent,in fact I would go as far as saying your future along with a very young Waikato squad moving forward looks bloody scary.
Flanders,McClutchie,Fakarava,Tavita Metcalfe,Toala and the hooker Keru Symes are all 19 practically out of school.thats bloody impressive in my book
Not to mention guys like Mikaele Tui,Rakete Stones,Ulufonua,Farrell and Emerson are all still in their early 20s..

Grrr. I'm getting out my cowbells for next next weekend now.

Hopefully Otago don't get to take their pet referee to Hamilton next week. πŸ˜‰

@siam after winning the shield really I had nothing in this emotionally. Glad we won but what does 'winning promotion' mean? Compare this game v Waikato v '98! Still go the mighty blue n gold!!!!
