It’s in Deans book, a direct quote where thorn says the best coaches he played under were Robbie and Wayne Bennett.

@rancid-schnitzel I think it was all just part of NZ rugby badly losing its way around the turn of the century.
We were about to lose the World Cup hosting rights and the whole tenor of NZ Rugby had changed towards corporatization.
