Start Up - finished latest season last night, very good.

Izzy still annoys me, when she is smilng she is quite attractive, but most of the time she looks miserable and mopey and annnoying AF.

Was a scene in the final ep

    :::

when Nick came out and shot Stroud, the gun shots were supressed, but his gun wasnt supressed, while Izzy's was?

    :::

    Rather bad reviews for Nightflyers:

    Nightflyers Reviews

    Nightflyers Reviews

Eight scientists and a telepath traveling on The Nightflyer space ship to make contact with alien life begin experiences strange and violent occurrences in this adaptation of George R.R. Martin's novella (which also was made into a 1987 film).

    Narcos Mexico.

Was pretty good, although i think Felix And Kiki lacked the charisma of Escobar which meant it kinda lacked a strong lead character.

    Crazy times back then though.

A list of the top shows from critics best of 2018 lists:

    https://www.metacritic.com/feature/critics-pick-the-top-10-best-tv-shows-of-2018?ref=hp

Homecoming, and Bojack Horseman were the only ones I watched this year, and I gave up on Bojack midway.

TV seems really stale to me.

Saw most of the Top 20.

Thought it was a great year.

I've just heard - Anthony Starr is going to star in an upcoming TV production of "The Boys".

If you don't know "The Boys" - it's a so-called "graphic novel" - written by the same guy as Preacher... once described as "out-Preacher-ing Preacher".

    So - Banshee-meets-Preacher.
An ex-girlfriend alerted me to this... I was so happy about this news I nearly took her back.

You didn't watch The Americans? Also agree with @MiketheSnow in that it was a great year, but not necessarily for those shows in the top 10 (I've only watched 4 of them).

I've only seen 3 in the top 18 that show there.

    All 3 were very good.

I know there are some other fans of Counterpart on here. No idea when it airs in NZ.

Still working my way through The Fresh Prince on Netflix. Just watched the episode with Will's father coming back, I forgot how emotional they could be when they wanted to.

finished S3 of The Last Kingdom.

not quite as good as other seasons, seemed to jump about a bit more with the different storie lines and then the pig headedness of Alfred & Uhtred was frustrating.

    Still really liked it though.

Thought the character Skade was sexy AF in this too.

    Just finished Bad Blood.

Excellent levels of violence, total absence of nudity . Decent cast too .

We just finished watching that this week too. It's my favourtite series at the moment.

Tried to get into The Good Place. Started well but after 8/9 episodes it is losing it's humour for me.

What is Vikings like? We are looking at starting that

    A really good show.

Edit: I've only watched S1-4 as I don't have Lightbox. Waiting for it to be available on other platforms.

@hooroo I really like Vikings, are similarities to The Last Kingdom (or TLK similar to Vikings)

The Good Place does go a bit flat for a bit in S2.

Have you watched Silicon Valley? That starts a bit slow but gets better.

Not yet re: silicon valley. Trying not to get too hooked on too many shows 🙂

There’s a twist at the end of the good place worth sticking around for.

Vikings is ok i guess if you like violence, gore , nudity and lots of sex scenes.
