Just like last time. The groundsman should be fired.

@antipodean @mariner4life and they should be shitting themselves - after a "poor" rating last time out they could get fucked by the ICC.

Then again, after Perth was rated "average" who fucking knows? Madugalle probably did it after the place didn't devolve into a dustbowl suitable for the ruling BCCI 🙄

The only highlight of Australian cricket today: Cameron Bancroft throwing David Warner under the bus on sandpapergate in a news exclusive

What sort crowd was there for the Boxing Day Snooze? With days like this, you can understand why so many folks now prefer the 20 over for at to traditional Test Cricket. Glad I saw none of it.

Test Cricket needs to seize the opportunities to sell itself or it will be a dead format in 20 years time. The ICC and Cricket Australia should hold to account this who prepared such a placid pitch for a big occasion. Perhaps Perth or Brisbane should host the Boxing Day Test next year?

Last test was fucking great in terms of being a battle. This one is shit. The wicket is the common parallel

You hear the death knell of test cricket every now and again but then you get an awesome spectacle or an amazing performance ( Trent Boult ) and the talk ceases. I don't reckon it's in any danger.

Also @NTA didn't realise you'd gone to the game, radio said Mitch Marsh got abused by the Aussie crowd when he lined up to bowl.

@MN5 Nah wouldn't waste my breath.

Victorians blame him for having Hanscombe replaced. Because Victorians refuse to acknowledge shit form should matter

This is a pretty ordinary excuse for a test match so far. Dead pitch, uninspiring batting and impenetrative bowling.

This has draw written all over it.

@Damo Cummins has looked the only value the last couple of sessions. India only have to draw to retain the trophy. They'll want to bat all day today and grond us out of the competition.

Bounce has had a couple of surprises, mostly shit

@NTA the plan will be to bat all day today, and two sessions tomorrow, so they can declare declare at tea on the third day.

    Further to my previous comment.

I still believe that a players test record ultimately decides where he ( sorry SJWs I don't follow women's cricket ) sits in the echelon of greats of the game going back to all the classic old names like Bradman, WG Grace, Hobbs, Sutcliffe, Hammond etc. Any fluffybunny can have his day in the sun top edging a bunch of sixes or alternatively getting a bunch of wickets when those edges become catches in the shorter forms......

But dominating the test arena decides where they sit in the pantheon of greats.

I hope that never, EVER changes and test cricket lives forever.

Pujara out for 106. India 303 for 4 scoring about 2 an over. A few quick wickets and Australia are back in this game. Perhaps this game might have some excitement yet?
