Time to move the VPN to UK.

BeIn sports has it all live.

Was thinking about joining Kayo as a trial to watch the matches - but they don't appear to have a smart tv app (I don't think my tv is an android tv either so can't get the android app).

Foxtel has no deals at the moment either. 😡

Anyone else pretty excited by the 6N starting this weekend? Shaping up as a good few weeks of rugby, with some important form lines being set for September.

Can the Irish cement their place as the world's number 1 team?
Has Eddie Jones "Eddie Jonesed" England and taken them as far as he can, and they are now backsliding, or are they bouncing back to their previous form?
How the fuck are Wales #3 in the world?
Can the Scots actually climb the table? (I understand they have a bunch of guys out though) or are they condemned to always scrapping with France & Italy for the spoon?
    Are France still fucked?

I had better check it is actually being shown in Aus, seeing as the country is trying hard to pretend rugby doesn't exist any more.

I'll let this screenshot prove my point emphatically.....

    Screenshot_20190130-175514.png

Of course if you move it just a bit you'll see the Italians sneak a win in 2015 but fuck those spaghetti eating pretenders. What do they actually bring to the tournament apart from Sergio Parisse getting a chance to extend his record for most losses in test rugby history ?

If being ranked in the top ten in a World tournament is shit then Rugby is about as much of a World Game as loigue.

No Kieran Marmion? Is a win against all blacks while starting not good enough?

Who? Caolin Blade has been in better form for Connacht. Oh and Marmion has an injury as well....

"England will be without wing Joe Cokanasiga, centre Ben Te’o, hooker Dylan Hartley and flanker Brad Shields for Saturday’s Six Nations opener against holders Ireland".
That's bad luck, they will have to pick some Englishmen instead.

    England 25-man squad
Forwards: Luke Cowan-Dickie (Exeter Chiefs), Tom Curry (Sale Sharks), Ellis Genge (Leicester Tigers), Jamie George (Saracens), Nathan Hughes (Wasps), Maro Itoje (Saracens), George Kruis (Saracens), Joe Launchbury (Wasps), Courtney Lawes (Northampton Saints), Kyle Sinckler (Harlequins), Billy Vunipola (Saracens), Mako Vunipola (Saracens), Harry Williams (Exeter Chiefs), Mark Wilson (Newcastle Falcons)

Backs: Chris Ashton (Sale Sharks), Mike Brown (Harlequins), Elliot Daly (Wasps), Owen Farrell (Saracens), George Ford (Leicester Tigers), Jonny May (Leicester Tigers), Jack Nowell (Exeter Chiefs), Dan Robson (Wasps), Henry Slade (Exeter Chiefs), Manu Tuilagi (Leicester Tigers), Ben Youngs (Leicester Tigers)

It will be interesting to see how Tuilagi goes at 12 and also interesting to see the duel between Murray's accurate box kicking and how Daly copes with it. Nowell in there to back him up is a plus, he was very good under the high ball in the Munster v Exeter game a couple of weeks ago. I like the look of the back row for once and whilst I would like to have seen Launchbury in the mix at lock, he has only had a couple of games coming back from injury and we have good strength in depth there.

All in all as good as I could have hoped for.

Interesting. Eddie is desperate to have Tuilagi on the field but to do so has to abandon his gameplan of two playmakers (Farrell/Teo or Ford/Farrell) as he also wants Slade out there. Might be getting in a tangle, might be taking a chance?
I don't see Tuilagi offering much at 12 but I might have it wrong. IMO he needs to be one more out to get a little space and time on the ball.

The talk of Brown's redemption looks to have just been talk.

They better hope Curry lasts the game or it will be back to a backrow based on size alone.

Will be watching this one with interest although I can't bring myself to wish a win for one team over the other and a draw would still have Eddie and Moonhead claiming a 'moral victory'
