Chiefs vs Highlanders

No Alaimalo is a big surprise for me (injury?) plus I’m surprised to see Seu off the bench.
I suspect Hames is on the AB plan, as is McKenzie. I’d rather we tried get these home derby games though, by picking a slightly stronger team...
-
Our starting 10 for the first games wasn’t even good enough to be picked in the original squad. Parete not in original squad but playing?
-
Hames: has only just returned from injury, and is probably not ready yet.
Wainui: -as far as I know, he is still recovering from the injury that kept him out of the Mitre 10 Cup.
Aalaimalo: as @taniwharugby says, he is also injured.Leger played at 10 in the PS game against the Reds.
I guess Dmac is taking one of his mandatory ABs rest days.

From the team announcement:
This week’s curtain raiser will feature the region’s up and coming with the Splice Construction Chiefs Development taking on the Chiefs Under 20’s at 5.00pm.
-
Like the tight 5, don't mind the loosies (but yea prefer Seu). Our best 9 & 10 on the bench though?

correct, i still don't know when the game is...

The Counties Manukau youngster, who made seven appearances for the Blues last year, has predominantly played at centre in the professional ranks but minor injuries to McKenzie and former Melbourne Rebels pivot Jack Debreczeni (abdominal strain) have forced Cooper's hand.
-
When did we sign Manu Vatuvai?
-
Hmmmmmm I guess we should get used to seeing these replacement players suit up, as it is a WC year..........

@Tim The script says that he will be brilliant , then we will talk about another great player that the Blues let get away! or maybe that is Manu.
Leger belongs at the Chiefs, if anywhere (and I mean if anywhere). He was only an injury call up to the Blues.
I really hope the kid takes this opportunity to focus his game and show what he's got because he looked out of place in Super last year and came across as a bit lazy during the NPC. Certainly didn't look Super Rugby quality which usually stands out.Anyway, that's what we've got given the injuries and if he has a mare at least Beaver is on hand.
