Not really a question, but this goal keeper seems to be confused about it.

Didn't really want to start a new thread about it, but I couldn't find any other thread to post it in.

@Stargazer The players are the boss. Look at Yanited, the players don't try, Boorinho gets fired, then the players start trying again for Ole

Thought there might be an official sanction, as in the referee controls the players and a substitution request must be adhered to.
Should have given him a red, would have sent a good message too

@Rocky-Rockbottom said in Football: who's the boss, coach or player?:

Yes, he's been given a free transfer to Rock of Gibraltar United. No, I don't know if that's even a real soccer team.

    Hahahahahahahahaha

@Siam heard on the radio this morning that the refs couldn't do anything about this. Not their mandate apparently, aside from making sure the replacements that happen are tracked etc.

The players get too much money these days. Easier to fire the coach

He's the most expensive goalkeeper of all time I believe and obviously has no problem reminding his coach of that. You just don't offload a 70 million pound investment. Isn't that an absolutely ridiculous amount for a bloody keeper?

Was pretty farking surreal to watch, but tbh with the money and egos in soccer I'm surprised it's never happened before. Can you imagine a high level rugby player doing that?

@Rancid-Schnitzel I want them to issue the manager with a taser. Take that you prick, do the electric boogaloo on international tv. Buuuuut far more likely the manager will go and the player will avoid any sanctions etc.

@Hooroo any memes of him being a sulky dickhead? Maybe one game off then status quo resumes?
