The fact he needs chemo is concerning. Hopefully all goes well.

Used to be a death sentence but now almost 100% cure.

Pretty amazing how far we've come in that regard. I hope they got this early and he smashes it out of the park. News like this always makes you appreciate what you have in life, never know what is around the corner.

All the best to Nasi for this treatment. Cancer can go fuck itself, but as a few folks have noted we have much better outcomes for treatment these days.

Terrible news. Thoughts and prayers with Nasi, his family and his doctors. They have challenging days ahead.

We lose a lot of brilliant and unique people to cancer each year. I'll be glad if Nasi makes a recovery, but not everyone is lucky.

There have been massive advances in cancer care in the last 25 years and there will be more in the next 25 years. Any money that can be raised for cancer research charities is going to a very good cause. Giving families and individuals hope where only a few years ago, there would have been none.

There’s a few different sorts of testicular cancer , some you can beat pretty easily if you catch them early enough and some are nasty bitches .
They are all a good excuse to give yourself a thorough groping to be on the safe side though.

Post from Manu on his instagram:

Didn’t realise my tweet was going to be the quote for the news 🤦🏾♂ for the record..
Never thought in my life I’d ever be the one to get cancer.
It has been a tough time. To be honest it’s been more of a mental battle than a physical one so far.
I had my left testicle removed, the wound was sore and took a little bit to fully recover but the battle to keep my mind from fearing the worst was the toughest challenge of it all. Given all the results of my tests post operation, I am very lucky for the type of cancer it was and that it has not spread. Although my blood markers are not low enough everything else is looking positive. I’ll be undergoing chemo and I hope to be back playing soon.
Thanks @benettonrugby, the medical team, Ospedale di Treviso urology department, my team mates, family and friends for the support 🙌🏾
    #GodsPlan

It seems he should be older, but he did come on to the scene with huge wraps as an age grade player and was playing NPC and super rugby as a teenager.

Good luck to big Nasty on making the WC.
