@Cyclops Hasn't he been quoted saying he doesn't want to be a traitor like his brother? Seriously though I think he said he would never leave the Canes in an interview last year... maybe I miss heard.

I went to see razor give a presentation last year and his words when talking about Jordie were “don’t worry, we will get him back here”

While I was ecstatic to get him at the Canes, I think he would have been much better off staying down there. He and Goodhue were a freakishly good centre pairing and it's a shame to see him wasted at 15.

@Canes4life I wonder whether Jordie is considering a move to the Crusaders to play with Scott if Beauden opts for a (sabbatical) stint overseas.

    🎣

I am wondering if Jordie is stuffed, by playing so many positions at a reasonably high level, never getting sorted in one place. Time will tell.

    Canes by plenty

Well I'm gutted Plumtree is such a shit coach and selector. Why on earth he's selecting good players is beyond me.

Tevita Li is the most bizarre happening in rugby this decade.

@Machpants and with Laumape playing out of his skin at 12 means it's even harder for Plum to move Jordie there. Laumape needs to step down for two games at some point so maybe Jordie will get a crack then..

Say what? Can't you just go back to making statements about players that prove to be way off the mark? More fluffing of Laumape and Tiatia would be pretty good please.

I would prefer a Goodhue (12) - Ennor (13) combo for 2020. The Crusaders have Havili in the mix as well and the likes of Punivai and McLeod emerging. So no need of Jordie Barrett in Chch. The Highlanders could offer him a good opportunity with Ben Smith leaving and no outstanding 2nd Five in their squad.

@cgrant I think T Umaga Jensen will lock that 12 jersey down for the Highlanders so there isn't really anywhere Jordie could go without having strong competition... oh wait the Blues are probably looking for someone post Nonu and SBW. 😃

Yeah they’ve got one in Faiane.

Blues almost have as may 12s as the Highlanders have blindside flankers...

@SammyC Not sure how much you can read into that or the quotes in here -https://i.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/super-rugby/105510831/jordie-barrett-and-ardie-savea-recommit-to-hurricanes-and-nz-rugby

Jordie is loyal to the swirl. Plus doesn't Ennor want to be a centre aswell, meaning Goodhue may even move in a slot which will black Barrett anyway.

Goodhue is a natural 13, which is extremely rare... can’t see him moving to 12.

@SammyC Yeah and you also have McLeod coming through so that is something else for J Barrett to be aware of.

@SammyC you'd think if they were looking at him as a 12, he'd have had some time there at a level higher than NPC (where he has played 12 and looked good)

At this point in his career, he is a world class 13, leave him there.

@taniwharugby from an All Black perspective I agree, he looks more like a natural centre than 12.

Which is exactly what MacDonald should be pointing out to Ennor.

Come home, take a good chunk of that SBW/Nonu money
