Hurricanes vs Highlanders

I would prefer a Goodhue (12) - Ennor (13) combo for 2020. The Crusaders have Havili in the mix as well and the likes of Punivai and McLeod emerging. So no need of Jordie Barrett in Chch. The Highlanders could offer him a good opportunity with Ben Smith leaving and no outstanding 2nd Five in their squad.

@cgrant I think T Umaga Jensen will lock that 12 jersey down for the Highlanders so there isn't really anywhere Jordie could go without having strong competition... oh wait the Blues are probably looking for someone post Nonu and SBW.

Yeah they’ve got one in Faiane.
Blues almost have as may 12s as the Highlanders have blindside flankers...

@SammyC Not sure how much you can read into that or the quotes in here -https://i.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/super-rugby/105510831/jordie-barrett-and-ardie-savea-recommit-to-hurricanes-and-nz-rugby
Jordie is loyal to the swirl. Plus doesn't Ennor want to be a centre aswell, meaning Goodhue may even move in a slot which will black Barrett anyway.
Goodhue is a natural 13, which is extremely rare... can’t see him moving to 12.
-
@SammyC you'd think if they were looking at him as a 12, he'd have had some time there at a level higher than NPC (where he has played 12 and looked good)
At this point in his career, he is a world class 13, leave him there.
-
@taniwharugby from an All Black perspective I agree, he looks more like a natural centre than 12.

Bucketing down in Wellington atm, looks like it's going to be a mud fight at the Tin tonight.

What'd Cully just say about Jordie Barrett and rumours about where he might play next season?? Why am I watching this on the TV that doesn't have mysky!!
He was talking about rumours about what position he’ll play for the rest of this season
-
This seems a little far fetched ...
The matchup I'm really looking forward to, however, is Beauden Barrett v Josh Ioane at No 10. Ioane has been very impressive this year. You would expect Barrett to be dominant but Ioane has a huge future, and he has great acceleration.

I am constantly impressed with the huge number of hurricanes supporters who turn up to the game dressed all in yellow

That tackle by whitelock on fifita would have fucking hurt. Smacked his legs together, great hit.
