Well went off to cast a blank ballot paper. God that senate ballot paper is ridiculous.
Voting locations are always great though. Everyone is polite and in good spirits. It makes you proud of democracy and what we have. It's so far removed from the bile and hate on Twitter, SBS and the rest of the media.

Greens supporters always look angry for some reason.
Probably because their Dear Leader appears to try eating meat in a pathetic attempt to not look completely unAustralian. Can't even eat a sausage sanger properly. And I expect it's a meat substitute.

I think you’ll find she retired quite a while back and even when there she was just a newsreader reading someone else’s words. No editorial input.
Jumping at shadows? No, just stating facts. If you seriously think SBS isn't biased then I'm sure you believe Fox News is actually fair and balanced.
Maybe so but that is an unrelated comment to the tweet you jumped all over.
An ex SBS autocue reader posts a nasty tweet and that proves bias from the channel? Yeah right. -

I'm sorry if that's too hard for you to swallow. What would you know about it anyway. You probably never even watched SBS.

Looks like Labor will struggle to pick up enough seats. Still too close to call.
May depend on WA.
I'm thrilled this hasn't been a walkover for Shorten and his policies.
-
Not a picture Shorten would be relishing:
-
Antony Green says Labor cannot form a majority government with the current numbers.
-
Fuck off Shorten!!!
-
Antony Green has called a Coalition Victory. I have a massive shit eating grin on my face right now.
-
Classic.
The Abbott loses to the Stegall's Chicken but Coalition win. Holy shit the knives will be out for Shorten now. This will be savage.

No, it’s following your logic that I am finding hard.
I do know about SBS. I have lived in Australia and I understand they can be perceived to have a bias just (as you mention) others do.
Is it really that difficult to admit that your original post was off the mark? -

-
Cudos to Morrison btw. Turnbull would have led the LNP to a massacre. I thought Morrison might just save the furniture but he's done much more. At the end of the day though I guess Shorten is just a really unlikeable person.

The second question is just bizarre. This is a discussion forum and I am discussing.
As I said, I don't get your logic that an ex employee of an organisation who, during her tenure, had no editorial or direction say, is an example of organisational and editorial bias.
You clearly made a mistake in the first place, not realising she doesn't work for them anymore and are now being pig headed about it.
By all means find examples of SBS being biased and make them relevant to the discussion at hand, but this was about her nasty tweet and you joined it to an unrelated point you wanted to make

Bill Shorten concedes and announces he'll step down as leader.
Even in his speech he fails to display an iota of charisma. Think of Bob Hawke and Bill Shorten is an antonym.

Even for Labor there is a distinct lack of graciousness in defeat from Shorten in concession and Wong on the ABC panel (particularly when contrasted with Sinodinous)
Shorten may looked like chopped liver now, but I see a bit of 80's Howard in him. Charisma vacuum, but he is a tragic and a political animal - I would not be surprised to see if he resurfaces eventually.

Still wondering about the polling industry? Beginning to think they’re next to useless — until they can calculate and account for the effect of self-censorship in the culture.
Is it a possibility that a good % of people are fed-up with p.c. sjw lynch mob cancel-culture and won’t tell strangers what they think, not even in a confidential opinion poll? Especially in a climate where speaking your religious views can get you sacked from your job??
The only poll that matters is the one a voter answers in the voting booth.
