Didn't we already go through this a few years back - with the exact same quip about the singers. Either that or I'm a witch/three-eyed raven and can see the future.

Anyone else, once they get listening to something, just thrash it for a while?
I have a playlist on spotify that i add to and delete from, that is called, as per this thread, "what am i listening to right now" and i just fill it with the songs i am loving at a given time, to save searching. normally has 15-20 songs in it. And i will listen to that one short playlist every day, often twice. for weeks.
At the moment it is 17 songs, of which a third are GnR. And i have thrashed the fuck out of it. I'm listening to it right now.

@mariner4life I have a playlist of about 20 odd that I just keep adding too, I just skip songs if I’m getting over them - probably should delete them from the playlist.

I don't do it that efficiently, but once I start talking about something then it'll get steady short term rotation. Just had to pick up my olds from Southampton so listened to Use your Illusion 1 on the way down, Use Your Illusion II on the way back.
Twas a great trip. Only skipped 3 songs .. My World, Knocking On Heavens Door and the second half of Coma.
Anybody who says those albums aren't awesome has rocks in their head. They simply haven't dated.

Locomotive is the perfect illustration of my point
For 6.5 minutes it's as good as anything they ever wrote. Ripper riff, great vocal track, cool chorus, shredding solo.
And then we get a 2 min piano breakdown that sucks. Cut the song at 6.5 it's unreal

This was pretty bad. The narration communicated very little in the time, and their access to the top session musicians of the era produced nothing - they gave them sound bites at best. Hyper-editing of musical geniuses, with multiple grammy awards, to get "Steely Dan were good."
British TV is so fucking bad now.

Can I suggest that all ferners have a listen to this brilliant album.
A great soundtrack to accompany anything in life.....working out, doing the dishes, drinking, fornicating, doing the lawns, paperwork, sitting through uninvited guests, driving......as Pharrell says....."Scuse me I'm talking to you !!!"
