@Kirwan 2nd tier team. Might be better to get Fiji into the RC.

If Australia don't start playing smarter they could blow this.

Yeah. It’s helpful to develop our B and C players though.

Argies have got to be about the worst team at converting simple chances. They fucked that overlap in the wallaby 22 also which was just catch and pass.

Surely a genuine rugby mystery: whatever happened to the Argie scrum?

@pukunui similar to us in the 1970s with the Polynesian immigration?

For sure there are heaps of Polynesians in Aust and have been for ages. There is just such a contrast to even 10 years ago. Has the private school system which traditionally produced most of the rugby players disappeared? Maybe those schools are packed with islanders on rugby scholarships now.

Not saying this is a bad thing but the change is just so obvious.

    Yeah, wasn’t great was it?

Some interesting improvements from Aussie though. Back row looks good, look better at ten for the first hour.

Whelp, Ozzie were pretty poor, but Arg were worse. A more entertaining game than the 'tits for handfest' that was Abs vs SA. Ozzie comfortably won, Arg looked pathetic.

This round of the RC will not have any NH teams quaking in their boots!

    Final score:
    Australia 16 Argentina 10

    74 J. D. Bonilla
    73 F. Isa
    C. Lealiifano 50
    C. Lealiifano 42
    C. Lealiifano 32
    R. Hodge 31
    23 N. Sanchez
    C. Lealiifano 10
    1 Tries 1
    1 Conversions 1
    3 Penalty Goals 1
    0 Field Goals 0

Pumas have thrown this game away You can't win any fucking game with a malfunctioning scrum Wallabies just needed to milk scrums pens + scored a nice try Beyond they did nothing

Pumas have serious questions to ask of Sanchez Attack has been misfiring
This is further compounded by wasting clear cut chances again
At least 2 tries bombed again

Finally what's the damn point of a bench if you only give players 10-15 mins to make an impact

I wouldn't take much out of this game if I was Wallabies- they were just a little less shit tonight

..and powerful locks, two big midfielders etc. It’s a style that will probably go well in the RWC

Error rate is a huge problem though

    @Siam

Combo of local leagues changing scrum rules due to some bad injuries in local comp

Previous coaches: namely Perez - Jaguares + Hourcade - Pumas not prioritising their scrum & subsequently losing their fundamentals

Changes have been made & implemented Time will tell if this make a substantial difference

Yeah some huge units out there. In a slow, defence oriented game they could grind out a win. Should score of an improved set piece too, that back play at times was slick.

Subbed CL and Genia and that disappeared somewhat.

The Arg props and locks look really soft in contact, and regularly lost the ball. A big work-on.

@pukunui Maybe it's like Auckland's North Shore, where the traditional rugby schools are now heavily asian?
