I used to freestyle it as a youngster. Decided to teach myself how to use them the "correct" way. Probably took a couple of weeks to develop the required muscle memory. It isn't that hard

@canefan Agree, not hard to get some form of technique. Amazing though that in the race to find the best tools for eating rice, two sticks won.

If you'd ever spent time in a Happy Eater in the UK you might not be so confident.

@canefan I got reasonably proficient the 'right' way living in Taiwan. But that is nearly 20 years ago now, think I'd be pretty shit with chopsticks now.

This is really bad , sucks that our tax dollars are subsidising this level of journalism .

Retraction and apology to Donghua Liu for untrue statements

RNZ's article "Donghua Liu returns to China to face charges" from 13 November 2016 contained untrue statements. RNZ has issued a retraction and apology to Mr Liu.

@jegga hmm RNZ isn't exactly Stuff though.

I wonder what the real story is. Given the amount of controversies around Donghua Liu I'd guess the journo possibly had a story but can't prove it. Better fact checking required

If you’re saying someone is going to China to face corruption charges which might result in him being executed and having his organs harvested you really should make sure of your facts .

Headline should have been "Help. My husband is a functioning tard, he built shelves without any actual shelves."
