@antipodean Yeah, if Hinton does know more he isn't reporting it. All based on second-hand information but it will get people speculating.

I hope we break the RWC cycle, and (if it is fozzie, cos he's had so long as assist) to give a two year term. Not like he's brand new coming in blind so he doesn't need 3 or 4 years to porve he's got it.

One New Zealand Rugby board member in the loop is said to have been very excited by the level of support Foster has assembled, while another source indicated it was an "impressive" group.

The sauce I got is that John Mitchell will be joining him with Halligan as kicking coach.

You're a good poster normally, but this type of nasty trolling is beyond the pale.

I'd be pleased if Cotter applied. Anyone heard any indications of his willingness?

Foz's assistants likely to be Mark Hammett and Tana Umaga.

He has been moved upstairs at Montpellier so might be keen to do more hands-on coaching. Cotter would be the type of forwards coach we need.

@mariner4life Foz, Razor, Brown, Mitchell...what could go wrong!

Bringing in the Hammerateur as some sort of specialist.

NZ Herald thinks it is Joe Schmidt. Not aware of him being a Rock Star:

im guessing that might go close to getting him over the line if true ,

But depending on what teams the rest put together of course.

Foster , Schmidt, Tony brown , might be difficult to beat
