I can't find a picture to attach but how cool was that shot of Mando on the speeder bike cape flying out behind?

    Looked very 'Easy Rider' too.

Cobb Vanth is the more likely. He is current canon (from the Aftermath novels), lives on Tattoine, and wears Mando armour that he got from some Jawas that found it. The theory is that the Jawas found Boba's armour after the Sarlacc spat it out.

He is known as 'The Sheriff' which ties in with the episode title 'The Gunslinger'

Caught the 12.01 screening of Episode 9 lastnight
Will have to watch again to digest it all.
Overall enjoyed it, felt the Leia scenes were show horned in, didn’t always work. Fast paced all the way through, lots of fan service.. lots of fan service.

Definitely an improvement on episode 8

@Virgil was just reading somethign saying is has been slayed by critics, putting it almost as low as Phantom Menace...

I often think it is just cool to think stuff is crap, I'll take the boy and make up our own minds.

Critics liked the politics of the last movie, so a movie more geared towards fans was never going to make them happy.

It was fine, not great. Certainly much better than the last film.

Basically, these are kids films and my 12 year old was jumping out of his seat with excitement.

I don't think that is necessarily true, if anything there was as much 'politics' in this one as TLJ. I think sometimes critics and audiences don't mesh.

I think I prefer TLJ, which I watched last night in preparation, to this (on one viewing though so that could change). I liked a bunch of this but found it was just a wee bit too cheesy too often.

    :::

I liked that Hux was the spy, and he just did it because he couldn't stand Ren, and that Richard E Grant just shot him.

The Ren-Rey kiss at the end was fucking stupid though. That scene loses nothing without it.

Same, definitely an Improvement on Last Jedi, still not sure on some choices but not too much to complain about

Just watched ep9. Massive step up from the other two, no doubt the best of the final trilogy. Lots of action, lots of worlds and a few new decent characters. Lots of nods to the past but it felt much more original. They couldn't resist slipping in a few woke scenes but I didn't really care. The story had twists and turns and I thought could stand well into the top handful of films in the 9 film series

Saw it, for the first half hour I thought "fuck, here we go again"

But every thing from the scene in Ren's quarters on was fucking great. I loved it.

    I cried at one point

Was reading a good take on the fact that Ben got to achieve what Anakin always wanted, to save the woman he loved from dying. That’s smart.

Rey's parents try to hide her from Palpatine, Ben Kenobi hides Luke and Leia from Anakin. Parallels
