Perhaps wait and see how he goes this year before saying this.

I think every Blues fan complained about the over playing of Akira (every game.. every minute..) and the under playing of Sotutu and even Papali'i

From MacDonalds comments it sounds like he realises that was an huge error last year.

    You're a bit behind here @Canes4life

7 players other than the RWC squad are under the rest protocols. We have been trying to working out who they are.

    Yep, excellent point.

If they use them right and don’t have any big injuries, I think this loose forward roster could be really huge this year.

They have good players in every position even with a bit of rotation, especially if they bring Robinson back into that mix.

They’re young too; that’s it, it’s your decade!

adidas has today unveiled the alternate jerseys for all five New Zealand Investec Super Rugby sides for the highly anticipated 2020 season.
From material to design, the jerseys have been crafted to reflect and honour the natural environments of each team.

All 5 jerseys are part of the new adidas PRIMEBLUE range – made with Parley Ocean Plastic, which is recycled plastic waste intercepted from beaches and coastal communities before it reaches the oceans.

As part of its ongoing mission to end plastic waste, adidas has committed to shift entirely to recycled polyester by 2024.

To inspire rugby fans to join the movement, the designs of each teams alternate jersey features aquatic-style patterns and nods to the teams’ local environments:

    • The Blues jersey takes inspiration from the Auckland Harbour bridge – an important icon of the city and beacon for sustainability due to its solar-powered lights. The jersey design features a water-effect graphic print of the bridge.

What a crock. 22 year old has loud party, big whoop. Why is this a news story? Pathetic.

@Kirwan the thing that pisses me off the most, this neighbour gets his or her name kept from the public.
Can’t see why this could have been sorted out between the 2 parties..,pardon the pun ..!

    WTF

A statement from The Blues said the Super Rugby side was aware of an anonymous complaint being lodged via the Independent Complaints Authority, which acts on behalf of New Zealand Rugby.

Normally noise complaints go through the Councils contractor, and I wouldn't have expected it to be 'an employment issue'

Can we lodge complaints about tactics for the semifinal last year? It's more problematic to me than a 22 year old having a party.

If it happened once, and Ioane and mates had responded to the complaints appropriately, I would agree with you. But if it happened multiple times and they continued to be a nuisance to the neighbourhood, than obviously they had to find another solution. Whether complaining to the Independent Complaints Authority was the right solution, remains to be seen. You'd expect them to go to a council department dealing with noise control.

I agree with the neighbour getting his/her name kept from the public, considering the risk of harrassment and bullying from Ioane's fans.

Can I direct you to Woman’s Day if you think this a valid news story?

@Kirwan Unfortunately, the media think that everything that marginally involves a well-known sportsperson - especially an All Black - is newsworthy. Even worse, they think we are all suffering from amnesia, so they repeat it over and over again, and copy and paste it in unrelated stories about the same player(s).

If - for whatever reason - the complaint against Ioane is upheld and has certain consequences, I think it's newsworthy. This is the first article I've read about this "incident", and I think there was nothing wrong in posting it on the Fern, if that's what you are implying.

Absolutely fine to post here, it gives us the opportunity to point out to the “journalists” that trawl through threads here for story ideas how far their profession has sunk.
