Pretty decent. Starts off as very far-fetched and rather annoying, but after a few episodes we came to grips with that and ended up quite enjoying it. Worth a watch.
Cheers. Goliath is starting off the same way

The latest season? Yeah it was a bit of an odd one and tough going at times but gets good towards the end.

Finished the stranger last night , can’t quite see how they tied the crime to him but was a decent enough show

@taniwharugby yeah it was episode 8 I just watched. I'd say it's the last two or three where it's really cranked up.
-
Season 3 of The Sinner has started off really well
-
Not a TV series but a short movie on netflix called Romina. Watched it over last couple of mornings while doing some cardio at the gym.
Horror movie just over an hour, all in spanish (i think) with subtitles. Pretty weird and at times very poorly done but for some reason I watched it all. I'm not sure I'm recommending it but more interested if anyone else has seen it ?

I've been watching Inside Number 9 - the latest offering from the creators of The League of Gentlemen & Pyschoville .Only seen the first series so far, so still still 4 more series to go.
Basically, it is an anthology series (like Black Mirror), with each episode featuring completely new cast and characters in a new setting. Like their other work, it is black comedy. All very funny, and sometimes horrifying.
Favorite episode so far was the second episode which was about 2 burglers breaking into the house of someone rich (Wedge from the original Star Wars movies) and trying to steal a painting - it is completely silent - no dialogue.

Amazon series. Taken. About the earlier life of Brian Mills.
No. Do not watch.
-
anyone watched Hunters
Is an Amazon offering, trailer looks like it could be good.
@Catogrande hahaha why would you, only the 1st Taken was any good, rest is milking the dead cow
-
@Catogrande haaa got about 15 minutes into the first episode, threw up and turned it off.

Finished Locke & Key (Netflix)
Thought it was a decent series, however like most series, IMO they botched the ending...in case anyone else watched, unless
:::
there is more to Ellie than we realise and Dodge was needing her gone all along as opposed to spending multiple episodes trying to get the Omega key, then, a prime opportunity to get it presents itself and she ignores it.
But otherwise, it sucked cos I cant see why Ellie would be that crucial to whatever plans Dodge has to get rid of her first, when she had plenty of chances to previously.

Anyone else watching The Outsider? Farrrrk it's good.
Yep. I like these shows that are slow burners, and episode 8 was great.
I watched American Gods after enjoying Good Omens. Season 1 was good. Season 2 started well enough but the ending was disappointing.
I'm also watching Homeland. Hunters is next on the list to watch.

Locke & Key.
Watched the 1st episode - and that was that.
Not a bad series, just not my thing.

Watched first two episodes of that 'I'm not okay with this' thats been hyped up on netflix. Apparently number 1 for NZ....
Well it was pretty bloody meh....and I'm not okay with that
@JK I stuck with it and enjoyed it. The last episode in particular is pretty bloody good and sets up another season really well.
What I liked especially were the short episodes at 30 odd minutes.

I will give it a few more then

'For all Mankind' on Apple TV+
Watched the first ep which was great. An alternative reality where the Ruskies beat the US to the first man on the moon which then starts a tit for tat escalation of space race 'firsts'
Some reviews can't help but see it through the current political environment lenses and claim it is a vehicle for woke-ness (first woman, first black etc etc) but anything with a premise of showing great space shots and continuing, what was a cool period in history instead of it fizzling out, sounds alright to me. No need to read much into it.
Production values are high and the scripting/acting of good quality. Not groundbreaking but looks like it could be a good watch.
Going to time it right for a one week free trial and binge this.
I really enjoyed FAM. Yeah it’s easy to see it through a woke lens but there are some good side issue raised too, like the morality of hiring von Braun, Nixon’s narcissism, and whether Jimmy Carter would ever have been president in Ted Kennedy hadn’t attended that party. Keep watching till after the end credits of the last episode for a real geek moment.
Damn, I missed that, will have to check it out when I get home. I really enjoyed the show.
I think S2 was already greenlit before S1 was released.
