@mariner4life It took me 6 years to watch Breaking Bad ... pilot and second episode in 2008 and the rest in 2014.
More short season shows that are good:
Firefly 14 eps https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0303461/
Terriers 13 eps https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1493239/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1I really liked The Fixer.
Which reminded me about Quarry. Still can't believe that got cancelled.
I have the pilot of Quarry and have never watched it.
I've never heard of The Fixer though.

Serenity kind of doesn't quite live up to the series while still being good, but as you watched the movie first you might find it the other way. But it is a cracking series. In my top 10 despite the short run.
This. The series was much better IMO. I was genuinely gutted when that ended.
One of the few occasions where when I was in a position to get a message to someone famous (in this case Nathan Fillion), that I passed on how much I enjoyed the show.
Murmerings in the sea of nostelgia reboots that they might take a look at this again.

I watched a couple of eps late night on channel 2 or 3 and thought WTF is this? Then about 3 years later a mate had the box set and I watched the whole thing ... may have been my first binge watch.
Oddly enough I had the same reaction with The Wire seeing that late at night on Ch2 and the same mate made me watch S1.

A former member of the Special Forces, John Mercer is also a convicted killer. Recruited by a retired police officer who runs an unofficial crime-fighting force, he is released from prison and becomes, in his own words, "a hit man for the state." Lenny Douglas offered him a new life and a new job. Mercer's new job is to take care of things when top criminals slip through the justice system. His team is rounded out by a petty thief he met while in prison and a disgraced former police officer.

I thought those rumours ended when Ron Glass died, assuming that any new series would be a continuation of Firefly not Serenity.

Itβs kicked off again recently. Another 8 episode burst would be quite cool

Upper Middle Bogan
Three season Australian show with some Kiwi actors (Michala Banas and Robyn Malcolm). Middle class doctor finds out she's adopted. Real parents are into drag racing.
Highlight of the show is Madeleine Jevic:

I watched the first season and thought it was hilarious. Didn't realise it kept going

havent been able to source a copy of that series!!
Finished S1 of Black Monday...was pretty good, not really a comedy as I thought it might bt, some funny stuff though.
Found a series called Dave, which is about a white fulla who wants to be a rapper, ep 1 showed it would be worth persevering.

I tried that Dave. It failed to hold my attention for long.

@Crucial how many did you watch, I might bail then, I have grabbed The Fixer & Quarry as recommended on here....
I can imagine Dave could easily become stupid
Just one. Wandered off partway through, just didn't grab me at all.

I've just watched ep3 for the second time for that very reason.
At the moment this season appears to have a more linear timeline but I don't think it will be that simple. Looking forward to the appearance of the Man in Black next week.
