I've started watching S1 of Broadchurch. I watched S3 when it was only up once a week (grrrrrrrrr) and really enjoyed it, so now the full seasons are on demand I'm watching a couple of episodes each night. Great cast, love all the red herrings and twists and turns. (On a side note the TVNZ On Demand app is fucking shite. Craps out all the time, has to be constantly deleted and re-installed.)

Anybody seen Tales from the Loop? A very weird little series on Amazon, the whole premise seems to be based on an Escher drawing. Strangely affecting. Good cast and a Philip Glass soundtrack.
Edit: The idea for the series came from the surrealist paintings of this guy...

Watched The Fixer.
Was pretty good

@Mokey Broadchurch is brilliant, shame they've stopped the series, love a whodunit!
In a similar vein, Unforgotten is one of the better ones in recent times. Good characters and lots of dead end clues.

Money Heist on Netflix
Spanish program about a robbery at the Royal Mint. Originally watching to improve my Spanish but it's awesome. Now onto season two. Awesome.
A criminal mastermind who goes by "The Professor" has a plan to pull off the biggest heist in recorded history -- to print billions of euros in the Royal Mint of Spain. To help him carry out the ambitious plan, he recruits eight people with certain abilities and who have nothing to lose.

@antipodean I just had this recommended to me by someone else too.

@Bovidae I was sceptical they could do much with season three, but they've done well and set up a compelling fourth season.
Yes. I think you know how S4 will play out now.

@taniwharugby S3 is better than S2 as a whole. Wendy's character arc is great viewing, and I as mentioned, Tom Pelphrey steals the show playing her brother.

I've just gone back to Queen of the South, on Netflix. Binged Series 1, 2 and half of 3 then went away from it a couple months ago - I think it was starting to feel a bit repetitive and like it wasn't working to an end-goal, plus an endless stream of double-crosses, shaky alliances and shakier deals - but now with more time on my hands I'm back into it and watched three episodes last night. Problem is, once I finish it, Series 4 may not be available for another couple months. I love some of the characters in this show. Pote and King George are extremely fun to watch. James is a bit annoying these days and he's gone from a bulldog to lapdog pretty quickly. Teresa has a great ass which they don't show nearly enough of. The pace of the show is really good too. Makes a change from watching TWD generally crawl along.

Finished Thirteen, was pretty good show, frustrating at times (more so the way the characters reacting to things when you think given the circumstances, how can you think that)
Liked the ending though, whch makes a change.
Jodie Comer is a good actress.

If you want to watch something with the kids, A Letter for the King is a good shout. It's very much fantasy by numbers, but my boys loved it.
Shot in NZ which looks gorgeous.
Oh, it's on Netflix.
