Did something change in Melbourne quarantine?
Well the whole shagging thing with security guards and potential Coviders (is that a word?) probably wasn't a great way to contain it, or any other infectious diseases really, but who am I to judge?

I on the other hand always assumed the role of the bank when playing with my brothers. Even then I still couldn't beat them.

Almost 300 new cases in Melbourne today, and now a few popping up in Sydney.
I've got a baaaad feeling about this.
You’ve got toilet paper in the house? You’ll be fine....😉
Significant testing going on so I’m not too surprised at increased numbers given what we know about transmission. Containment is the critical thing the restrictions will hopefully assist there.

A mate and went in for lunch at a restaurant in the city, had to do the covid QR code sign in, but once inside it was jam packed, we eventually just got up and left before they took our order, partly due to the lack of any social distancing and partly due to the annoying voice of the woman right next to us (due to no social distancing).
I've got TP, but I'm going to re-stock all my non perishable foods that I started eating mid lockdown because I was too lazy to cook.

Good thing our charity day is on tomorrow, because I think Rugby season is going to be canned in the next 4 weeks.

I think we were pretty lucky last time round to avoid community spread, hopefully it hasn't already gotten into NSW.
Although, TBH I wouldn't mind if I had to return to working from home. At my office we lease class rooms to a sister school that does VET courses and they're coming back to class next week. Positive - they're fitness and yoga students so the chicks are mostly in active wear, negative - they're fitness students and the guys are fucking disgusting in the toilets, it's like they all grew up feral and don't know how to lift a seat, aim in bowl, or know what a toilet brush is for.
We did buy yellow police tape to block off areas - my office is surrounded in it.

Had the end of year performance review with the boss, and he's talking about an eventual return to work involving 2 days a week from home.
🤨
Mate, are you serious? This has been the most productive 4 months of my time in this role (coming up to 3 years) and you wanna mess with that? Madness...

It looks like it has though, a few cases in Casula yesterday and one bloke from Melbourne who drove up to Sydney before the border closure.
We're not where Melbourne was (they had a number of small clusters before things blew up), but we aren't far away either. Just seems like it's down to blind luck. We've been lucky so far but I don't know how long that will continue.

And we accepted the lockdown so it could provide healthcare the time to ramp up resources and prevent it being overwhelmed.

we all know that narrative changed some time in May.
Given a massive number of the new identified cases are apparently asymptomatic, would a similar ramp up in testing elsewhere in Australia give similar results?

@mariner4life we had a period a bit over a fortnight ago when our testing numbers spiked to new highs, but didnt result in any cases, so not sure it is always that straight forward.
