S3 of Marcella.
I think this season was new to Netflix.
Was pretty dark season, quite intense as Marcella grapples with reality in her undercover persona in Belfast.
-
@mariner4life Nah, first two seasons were made by ABC. But all three are now available on Netflix.
-
@taniwharugby thanks for the heads-up! First two seasons were great so will check it out.

I started a series called Deep State, because i like Mark Strong.
Ex MI6 dude called back in for one last job type thing.
It's started off pretty well, 2 episodes in.
Does help that it has the sexy Mossad chick from Strike Back in it.
-
@mariner4life yeah first season is good. Couldn't get into the second season.

I started watching The Sopranos 10+ years ago and never went back once I moved to Australia. Just never had a service where it was on and free to air reception was shithouse. I finally sat down and watched it from start to finish over the last few weeks. Fuck what a great show. So funny, particularly the episode where Vito's lifestyle change becomes known. I was in tears with some of the reactions. Its not PC in anyway shape or form but the reactions are hilarious, specifically Tony's crew.
Anyway the last scene is epic, disappointing and fitting all rolled into one.

@taniwharugby I enjoyed the first 2 seasons but the 3rd is too far removed.

were you talking about Marcella? If so, yeah S3 could well have been a stand alone series, but still thought it was a decent watch
S1 of Dark - pretty good! GIven the main theme of the story, I did like how they did the side by side scenes to help you remember who was who!
Gotta say, I'm usually critical of seaosn finales, but this one was spot on and the final scene set up S2 perfectly!
-
@taniwharugby I really enjoyed S1. Viserys Targaryen is set to be a villain no matter what he's in now.

Jack Irish
After a painful half hour arguing with the other half about what to watch we settled on this, starring Guy Pierce and a bunch of people I recognised from Neighbours back in the day. Quite entertaining so far, two episodes in. Guy is quite a funny bugger and the story is getting very intriguing. Will stay for the course I think.

Seal of approval from two Welly boys. That’s good enough for me.
there must be heaps of Guy on Guy action

Unsolved Mysteries - poor bastardised modern-day version of a program that routinely scared the crap out of me as a child.
All the eeriness is gone. All of the creepiness has been replaced with simple eye witness accounts and police reports. It's not that the stories aren't interesting or indeed "unsolved mysteries" it's the lack of reenactments and amping up the drama. It's just not the same.
To this day I think the scariest thing I remember from TV as a kid was the Telly Savalas story "I'll give you a ride" fro the aussie TV show The Extraordinary. Im a grown man and it still gives me the creeps

I saw that while babysitting ( early 90s ) and yes, eerie as all fuck.
