It's ok guys, it's all part of the coaching succession plan.
They're just getting McLeod or Plumtree ready to sit in the big chair in 4 years time....
look, i've never understood those people who use social media to send evil hateful shit to people in the public sphere
but a post like this makes me tilt my head to the side and say "hmmmmm"
🤨
Unsure if that’s a dig at me or not...
I don’t think my post was in any way evil or hateful... More stating a fact while highlighting a bit of an issue.
But seriously if this is what succession looks like... hmmm
dude it was a joke aimed at how your post made me feel like sending you a sort of "i hope you die in a fire" type message.
Scott McLeod, AB coach makes me want to renounce my citizenship
Yea all good, just wasn’t sure - hense the question 👍🏼

@taniwharugby agreed
and i understand the whole, "we can explain what we're doing" idea, dont want the opposition to know all our secrets....but its not exactly engaging is it, and its a little concerning if our big ideas rely so much on surprise
i'd be much happier if we had a game plan we were happy to just tell the world "this is what we'd doing...come and stop us"
-
@Machpants and then after the Lions we forgot how to deal with it.
Crotty was a key part of our side then too, he got injured in one game when we looked like running riot?

aaahhh we're doing the same shit we have been doing for 2 years. Even a thick coach like, say, Ian Foster, has probably worked it out by now.

Whitelock was ruled out early in the week.

Our secrets seem to be:
Lack physicality, don't commit numbers to rucks, put everybody out of position (particularly mid field where it really counts defensively), unbalance the loosies, lack impact off the bench with fresh fast players, wings that are slow...Fuck that was going to be a long post. I shall now go back to the grumpy old man one.

Our lineout looks pretty vulnerable. A skinny rookie lock, no targets at 7 or 8, and an unproven six (is he any good as a target?).
Sotutu should be starting at 8, and would give an option.
Pretty sure I’ve seen Savea taking plenty of lineout ball?

Ive seen Michael Hooper win ball as well, doesn't mean he's an option except as the surprise. Generally doesn't work twice in a week.
Still, if can win the ball at 2, Smith's pass makes it still good attacking ball.
-
@mariner4life according to ESPN stats, George Bridge won a lineout...although I assume a quick throw counts for a lineout win
-
@mariner4life Mmm...maybe was a bit harsh but along the lines of "you have to expect a contest", " you can't always get the results you want", " type lecture.
