Movie review thread...

I am vengeance: retaliation.
What can I say? No discernible plot. Shit writing. A cast that cannot act. Ridiculous fight choreography. Execrable dialogue.
This is a must see.
1 moment of entertainment out of 129 wasted minutes of my life. Well 20 really as I lacked the fortitude to see it through.
This intrigued me.
So, I went and watched "I Am Vengeance". Typical C-grade action movie with a WWE-rasslin' star as the lead "actor". And the worst/blandest rassler at that. Acting, and movie - bland, forgettable, rubbish. Zero tits.
And then - I doubled down with the redundantly named "Retribution" sequel. I mean - what the fuck? Having Vengeance and Retribution in the title... just sums up what to expect.
@Catogrande - I'm assuming you watched the first 20 minutes? Believe it or not - you actually saw the best part of this movie. The last hour, just gets worse, and worse, and worse. But - I'm a fuckin' trooper, and saw it through. And can confirm, that once again, zero tits. -

when I saw that title I thought it was one of the recent NIcholas Cage take any script films...
Are a few actors now who you see thier name as the lead on so many at the moment...seems to be a bit of a scatter gun appraoch, take on as many projects, one is bound to be good (Cage, TRavolta, Willis, Stoltz)

Better hope Liam Neeson doesn’t read this and get triggered you haven’t mentioned him.
It’s kinda sad ( if you can feel sorry for famous multi millionaires ) that these guys ( all of whom have made some brilliant movies in the past ) feel the need to resort to dialling in performances in flicks that you just know are gonna be utter shit without even seeing them.

@mariner4life don't worry, you've probably caught far to much UV so Snowy would despair of getting a high quality hide off you... or is it pelt? Skin suit?

And yet, I know I would do EXACTLY that if I was one of then. Earn a few million bucks for 2 months work? Sign me the fuck up!

Have you seen the trailer for Neeson's next action-blockbuster classic?
Fuck, it looks good. (insert sarcasm emoji or gif or meme or whatever the fuck you nerd fluffybunnies need to convey nuance nowadays)
I think it's called Honest Thief? Or something like that.
Could easily be named "Taken 5" - and I should know, having just watched Taken 1-3 over the last two days. -
The admission to a Taken binge-watch reminds me... I don't think I ever shared this little bit of life-achievement with you fluffybunnies. Instead of re-writing, I'll just copy-paste from my publication to family and friends on faecebook...
The word "hero" is bandied about a lot, rather cheapened in my opinion, nowadays.
But... for your consideration... I just watched all 6 "Tremors" movies, in 7 days.
Just saying. -

@Kruse after the joy that Taken 1 was (and I agree i shouldn't have had to type that "1" there), I'm prepared to allow him at least 10 shitty movies afterwards
Taken isn’t as good as people say it is.
It doesn’t justify the litany of shit he’s subsequently bombarded us with that’s for sure

I think a bunch of them actually need the money after divorce, bad investment and not handing over the government's share.

Fuck off its not. This might be the dumbest thing you've ever posted here. And that's a deep field.

Airplane!
Like most comedy movies of this era, it crosses the line so much that they could never make it today. Genuinely, one of the funniest, if not the funniest movies ever made. Fully of classic slapstick, one liners and sheer comedy brilliance.
5 I'll take it black, like my men out of 5 that's not important right now.
I read they rewrote the entire jive dialogue as the scriptwriters admitted they were too Jewish to make it sound even comically authentic. I have watched that movie like 5 times and I still only get 50% of their jive talk.

Speaking of which, I see Wesley Snipes is in Coming to America 2. I think the IRS will be clipping the ticket on those wages pretty quick smart.

@MN5 boo! Take your attitude to the GoM thread pal
It’s definitely entertaining in one sense and Neeson obviously has the immortal lines....but the movie as an absolute whole ? Overrated.
Yeah, I barely finished it

This says it all. Roger Ebert is looking down from heaven and smiling at reviews like this
