1982 was the first time I watched a football World Cup on TV. Rossi came from nowhere to win the golden boot and help propel Italy to win the Cup, what a golden run

Left field for The Fern I guess, but Barbara Windsor has died of Alzheimer’s at 83. For those of us of a certain age our Dads’ interest in the comedy stylings of Sid James and co in the Carry On films was suspiciously weighted to the ones Babs was in. RIP.

He was always Zeus first and Deebo second to me. But better as the latter. "That's my bike punk!". Honourable mention as President Lindberg.

i remember him cutting a promo where he called him Brutus Beefcake Barber, it's always stuck with me for some reason.
But Friday will always, always hold a special place in my heart.

I always assumed that it was Prowse's face we saw in ROTJ when Luke took off Vader's mask. But it was actually this guy
Another tidbit I stumbled on, the guy who voiced and played the hologram Emperor Palpatine in ESB was a Kiwi
He was replaced by Ian McDiarmid in ROTJ
The lady who cuts my hair cuts what's left of his. One degree of separation from most powerful being in the universe!

Charley Pride, 86, from COVID complications
That’s a shame. He was one of the old mans favourites that I had to enjoy ( it took a few listens ) on car rides back in the late 80s. He actually made country music more than tolerable.
Apparently COVID got Zeus/Deebo as well
