I had a long look at Justin Rose before the tournament at $71, wondering why he was such long odds. Recent form isn't great but has plenty of Augusta form.

Either way I chickened out and took him for a top 10 rather than straight out. Still early days but he looked very solid today and he's certainly due a win here.

But in reality anyone +2 or better is still in it, especially if weekend weather is dicey. Spieth the one to watch, managed to hang pretty well and one good round puts him in the hunt.

Gee some big movers this round. Cam Smith was flying until 14th and 15th...Doh!

Speith solid and Bryson has got it working but DJ and Rory in real danger of tapping out at the end of the round

Shaping up to be a great weekend, thankfully Rose didn't run away with it today.

Anyone under par is well in it, and Speith and Thomas loom as two real chances. Great to have a few Aussies in the hunt as well.

Anyone else finding the Masters a bit dull this time? Or maybe just that golf is dull?

They seem to have set the course up tough this week to protect it and I can't see that changing on the final day. Hideki Matsuyama has a 4 shot lead so it is his to lose really as he shot a 65 while everyone else battled. Hideki always seems to be around the top 20 at big events so it will be interesting to see if he crumbles on the final day.

@kiwipie I watched a bit this morning after the weather delay. It was yeah, pretty average. Lack of crowds? Lack of exciting shots? Just guys grinding. Speiths chip in pretty much the highlight I saw.

I used to watch the Masters final round every year in the 1990s and 2000s. Don't bother now. Perhaps there were more characters and variety in their play back in the day. But men hitting a ball big distances towards a hole became dull after a while.

Looks like Hideki just has to hold it together with everyone else going backwards. Rahm the only one charging and he started too far back.

Hideki has a shocker in his first two shots in the 13th ... but two lucky breaks and walks off with birdie.

Japan is going to go wild if he wins this.

Schauffele will be ruing that triple, was within a few inches of being a great shot.

Well done to Matsuyama though (kinda reminds me of when Campbell won his major, he just kept hitting the shots while others faltered around him)
