I went to donate blood today, which is at the same site as Covid Vaccines (different rooms) and the Vaccine door had a sign saying no walk ins, fully booked.

I can fucking blame you then! I am in Coogee, taking a couple of days off the motorbike to dry out from the constant rain since I left home on Saturday. Now the eastern suburbs has a least one community case. All I need is for Qld to panic again.

What's the chat in NZ fellas? Any announcements to make an announcement planned for today? What's the talk back radio folk saying?
I assume we will get an update around 11am here from Gladys. Maybe Cindy will wait for that before reacting, though assume she's getting a constant feed from here.

@voodoo No drums beating here so far. Sydney isn't a top headline from a quick skim of Stuff and the Ferald... fingers crossed it stays that way after any 11am Sydney update!
So 1 new case (wife), 9 close contact taxts tested negative. That's positive.
The negative is that there is a missing link between the source (a traveller from the US who tested positive on Day 1 and was transferred to a health iso spot on the 26th) and the bloke.
Eek

@voodoo when is/was your flight due to depart? Hopefully not within the next 48 hours...
Unfortunately for voodoo, it was this evening.

Hopefully that might still work with the flights pausing at midnight. One way at least for now…

Board in 40mins.
Still going, after much deliberation. We REALLY don't want to get stuck as we have important kids stuff next week, but are taking the risk.
Far out, what a roller-coaster!
Good timing. Travel bubble paused from 10pm tonight.
