Do the Reds still have a hangover or are the 4th NZ team really better than the Aussie champs?

I’m not that familiar with the usual Reds lineup but this lot look like they just met. Rookie halfback is a good player but not in sync.
Not sure why they aren’t smashing it up at angles close in. I’m sure BBBT will be giving them the message about getting out of their half and stop trying to play cute in attack.

Gregory looks like a different player in the midfield. He’s not small either and has made some good metres.

Is he a 13 as well or primarily a 12? With his speed and size, 13 looks a nice position for him.

I’d say they are pretty tired and a few are missing.

Having said that, this Landers team is quite far away from fielding their best team either.

I think Gilbert is our six fullback this year

Only been at NPC and super they put him at 15 where he shouldn't be.

He has played more midfield at super than NPC now...only hope the Northland coaches have noticed

TUJ and Gregory for a 2022 midfield doesn’t look terrible. They need a power winger to complement Nareki, although Gilbert could be a BFA style 14 if he keeps developing.
