So the tsfuk gig is at @MajorRage's weekend after this one?
21st June mate, as per the invitation I sent out.
You didn't get it? Oh.
It's ok I intercepted @R-L's one just as the postie was putting it through the door. See you then!
So it was you taking her laundry!
I knew it all along.
Well you shouldn't have left it in your shed.

Got AZ this morning. Apart from a slightly spaced feeling and funny taste in my mouth, all good so far.
How could you tell the difference?
Usually tastes different when I get a jab

Isn't this all a bit strange... We are getting life back to "normal" and it all feels strange. Like temporary and it will be snatched away again...
Looks like the India variant might scupper the Jun 21 restriction easing given it appears to be significantly more transmissible.
2nd vaccine doses to be sped up from 12 to 8 weeks for over 50s.

Pushing back the 21st June is a better option at this stage than going back into it all again.
Couldn't agree more. Life is quite comfortable at the moment compared to what we've had so I wouldn't grumble! I know others have been effected more than I have though so it's understandable it would cause upset.
We are no NZ but we are in a good position at the moment and we failed early on in the pandemic so I'm pretty proud of the efforts that have gone into the vaccination roll out. I want to keep a good thing going ay...(I deleted that ay but then thought I'd leave it there for you kiwis 😉)

I think people can live with a delay in ending all restrictions. You can pretty much do most things after next week anyway.
Be thankful the new variant is happening as we near the summer - that should suppress it's spread a bit.

I’m really getting fucked off with the Indian Elephant in the room.
BAME community more at risk
Uptake of vaccine (our way out of this shit) amongst BAME community is lower than general UK population
Travel to and from India and it’s environs allowed for weddings and funerals
Lo and fucking behold, Indian variant on the increase in areas of the UK with high proportion of people with Indian ethnicityTime to tell it like it is

A golf mate of mine that came from Bolton had a similar view previously, citing large weddings and funeral then spread it wide ‘cos they’re all taxi drivers. A similar endpoint to yours but coming from a different, nastier place. He’s a dick when it comes to our tinted brethren.

@mikethesnow the wife was telling me about a report she saw that showed a UK heat map of vaccine uptake. Quelle surprise some of the areas with low uptake coincided with areas of concentrated Asian communities and where the India variant is strongest.

Just discussing same thing with wife.

The low take up of the vaccines amongst BAME communities is something that we’ve been aware of for sometime but little seems to be getting done to correct this. A few of the more prominent and influential black and Asian guys have been promoting the vaccines and good on them for doing so, but nothing concerted by the medicos or local authorities, cos racism.

Yes it’s racism that they are making the choice not to take it.
