@mn5 thats kind of why i wondered the other week if this might be a limited run, just telling the one story of what happened to them after order 66. i kinda wonder if were going to get a "rogue one" ended for these guys...currently i cant see them just putting down weapons and hiding from the empire, but maybe thats what theyre going to explain
16 episodes apparently, and they plan to do another season if it's popular. Episodes are getting shorter too, which is a bummer.
Have to remind myself this is aimed at children. I'm digging it, might wait to watch a few in a row.

Huge news, Filoni is now in charge;
They now have their version of Kevin Fiege at Marvel for Star Wars.

@kirwan hopefully we'll get more of a cohesive tv/movies universe
cant help imagining what the sequels could have been with the marvel approach. rather than jamming everything into three movies, each of the main characters could have had their own into movie, forgetting if Finn was actually a good character or not for a second, it could have actually been really interesting seeing probably development of the character realising he was on the wrong side and trying to escape

Yep, his character was window dressing at best. The story decisions they made undermined the original trilogy and made Vader's sacrifice meaningless. And obviously ruined Luke's character (which left us in the weird position of Hamill publically saying he didn't recognise the character anymore). A giant mess.

@kirwan exactly, another whole movie showing Luke actually turning into what we saw MIGHT have made it understandable
Marvel would have had a Kylo Ren movie and a Luke movie and both would have had flashbacks to "that night" showing what each saw
in hindsight its one of the things that makes the MCU cool, movies introducing a character, and only right at the end do you click how they might connect with the wider story, sometimes only in the post credit scenes

We should start a thread just for Meme's....
