@foobanz I agree, that’s the best 15 we can put out. Too bad the coaches are holding this team back from reaching their potential. Morons.
Holland and the board that appointed him should all be shown the door. Who the hell rewards a guy who coaches us to the wooden spoon to a new contract?
-
@canefan it’s jobs for the boys at the Canes, they all seem so matey matey. The same faces have been around the Canes for years now so it’s no surprise that the likes of Jane gets an assistant role, and J Savea continues to start every week.
They need a clean out from the top, including the board who are just as bad IMO. Whether it happens or not is another question but I doubt we will see the preferred 15 for sometime yet.

We look to have hit rock bottom, but they seem intent on taking us deeper into the mire

@canefan there is so much talent in the squad but they seem to be hell bent on being as vanilla as possible. If this was the NFL about 70% of that organisation would be facing the chop right now.
Hopefully we can flush the dunny of these guys before we lose a bunch of them, or they are ruined beyond repair

It’s just annoying because we would most likely be gunning for a final if it wasn’t for pathetic selections.
They also reward ill-dicipline. For example Kirifi should be no way near that team after his performance on Saturday yet he continues to start.
I’ve got zero faith in this organisation when they continue to poo poo the fans by making brain dead selections. Great way to build up the Canes brand and following.

NZR 'commissions' do after an appalling loss to Argentina

They have form unfortunately….

@canes4life to be fair Julian has been good, surprisingly good! I mean I did have low expectations, but he has blazed past those.
I've kind of given up on trying to get any insight into how Holland picks his team, or how the Canes are juggling their talent. I know we aren't party to all the shit that goes down within a club, but fucked if I know how they are making decisions.
-
@nepia They should have dropped Kirifi, but instead they move Flanders to the bench for Prinsep, and Evans loses his spot on the bench.
Well, I guess PU-J withdrawing (whatever the reason is) is good in a way, although I'd rather have seen Proctor getting a rest; Toala may now get 2 minutes.
-
@mikey07 The only reason for him to stay (if they offered him a contract) would be that he couldn't get a contract somewhere else. But he'll need a very good NPC first, because who is going to offer him a contract if they've not been able to watch him play recently?
Somehow, I doubt they'll offer him a contract though. They'll probably have the next Wellington schoolboy line up.

Im hoping Jonah and Brad put in a good word for him at the Chiefs.
When does Flanders contract expire, imagine how good a Cane, Flanders, Jacobson back row would be.
Essentially, what I’m saying is that all the good Magpies should go to the Chiefs.

@stargazer wouldn't be surprised one bit if Riley Higgins gets a contract if he performs in the NPC.
