@voodoo said in Coronavirus - New Zealand:
we have complete apathy for vaccinations and zero tolerance for any cases.
I think the issue is people are scared about what happens if we go back into lockdown, so many will over react.

Te Papa is a location of interest? First time for everything.

As a non Wellingtonian, who now actively hates the place due to the Canes , I love Te Papa. I will find the login details to my Twitter and join the Wellingtonians to attack you if you do tweet.

@stargazer the list is getting longer. Yay. Not.

I'm still hoping that it's like the cases over summer. 1,589 close contacts, a hundred places visited in five days, no further infections.
How well that luck will hold against Delta is anyones guess. Hopefully the fact that the person has already had one AZ dose will help our cause...

so the traveller had had 1 of his 2 vaccine doses, greater Wellington has almost 20k with both doses...

@donsteppa that's the bit that has me worried. We know the ol Delta variant is a right hoe. It has been beautiful down here lately, aka fucking cold. I don't know if that decreases chance of spread, or everyone finding somewhere warm to hang out (in close quarters) makes it worse!
-
@mariner4life possibly due to those being older and high risk folks - probably in homes or close contact with health authorities? would expect the 1st/2nd jab stats to widen once we start to jab more of our general population.

@taniwharugby always good to be ahead of the random number generator!
