Guys Joubert clearly said you can't replace a player and cause golden oldies I.E. bullshit he's injured, you now have 14. That's my understanding.

Was someone on the sideline telling Joubert wasnt it...is it a new ruling or an obscure one not often called?

Apparently, this is the rule (as tweeted by Nigel Yalden):

Law 3.5(k)

If Beaudy's kicking didn't completely kill them, the brain farts by TJP did. I can't believe anyone in their right mind thinks he should be the second halfback option.

Poor Woodward. Played well then dropped one ball and that's that. Muppet.

The ruling is to stop a team that is getting mullered in the tight going uncontested as a tactic.

I think it should still be TKB. He's less flashy than Weber or TJP, but he's reliable.

I will be interested to see who gets the 3rd spot: TJP or Weber.

Good away win for the chiefs. When do they play the crusaders?

Entertaining but weird game. Barrett was excellent goal kicking aside. Thought Cruden was bloody quiet and Julian Savea doesnt look like an AB.

Another good game.

Just like at the end of the Highlanders game, Woodward shows that he's not clutch.

DWTA. Weber on a bad day, and today was a bad day, is better than TKB on current form.

But close call granted as both didn't look the goods. My opinion only,

I am not sure where I stand on the rule. It wasn't the chiefs fault they had two blokes injured. Unless we are punishing them for not having more props on the bench who can play both sides.

Beat them in Christchurch in Week 1 and them have that game up in Fiji in July I think.

That's the thing, though. I'm pretty sure Fisihoii has played both sides before.

South Africa have not put a prop on before when they had a player who was selected as a tighthead but played half the SupeRugby season at loosehead.

In ITM Cup last year Northland took golden oldies option despite having a hooker on the bench who has played TH for us when our TH went down injured...the fact that naki were destroying our scrum had nothing to do with it, nothing at all!

Thinking about the end of the game: why on earth keeps Woodward being picked ahead of Black? Ww has done good things this season, but can also fail dramatically like tonight. I would like to see more of Black if Marshall is out.
