Press Conference
Cannot believe Arden didn't put on a mask for this presser. Given how good she is at optics, etc.
Good luck folks. Expect to see some awesome TSF action over the next week 3 days / 7 days / 21 days / 3 months / 6 months.
She's never worn a mask during the pressers, always taken it off just before.

It’s not all bad news, I was gonna take leave to do some painting to get the house ready for the market. Now I have three days to sort it. Not only that the other half’s birthday tomorrow so she gets to spend the whole day with me. If that’s not an amazing present I don’t know what is.

Hopefully he is someone who isn't a spreader given his wife tested negative in the same testing period as him, although she is to be retested.
So if this turns out to not be delta, it would mean it has been out in our community for weeks.

Who he got it from and their spreadability might be the difference between a 3 day/7 day lockdown, and the Full 'Strayan experience...

Here's hoping contact tracing goes well and we uncover free extra cases

@donsteppa well that too...which is why if it isn't delta, then what?
They likely won't be able to trace that back to how it.got here

In which case it would probably have been on winter vacation on the Coromandel...

Possible for it to be a false positive?

@taniwharugby off to the supermarket I go...
Don't take all the toilet paper!
I've accidentally become a toilet paper loon. I buy 4 packs of double length rolls and each of my weekly lockdown shops I grab a 4 pack. I now have a whole cupboard full of them. I also have the 24 pack of random brand rolls I grabbed during the first lockdown when it was genuinely hard to find any. Am I a Karen?
Mid April 2020, I went to my local Waitrose after the NHS / Elderly queue and commenced my shop. It was pretty standard, except the deli's were closed and a little less people. Nothing major, just an average day. As I approached the paper aisle, I heard a little kerfuffle. As I got closer, I saw 3 elderly people and 2 waitrose staff staring at the empty toilet paper shelves. One lady was in serious distress - tough time for everybody, got too much for one lady, tipped her over the edge and she was having a little breakdown. There were two staff in the back trying to find anything, and eventually, a customer came back who had seen, returned his packet for the lady. She refused it, appreciated the gesture but said she'd be fine, but it was just the vision which had caused her a little panic.
Moral. Stop buying fucking toilet paper if you don't fucking need it.

Hopefully 3 days is short enough that we don't get idiots mass congregating to protest...
To put a rugby spin on this - where is Ross Meurant and his Red Squad when they are really needed.
I am fully on board with the batoning of clowns! (Which, for those who remember - actually happened - the clowns).

When are the stops being put in place by the cops?
My neighbour has gone to Auckland to get her son from a boarding school and stopped in for dinner at thier sisters place before coming back up here...

Usually up by midnight
-
@canefan fuck, was hoping they'd stop her and send them away...so irresponsible, she did it last time when Auckland went to L3 too...her and her husband have jobs that will not be affected by lockdowns
We get on with them, but that pisses me off
-
@donsteppa ah good point....stink
-

@canefan I would but I'm out of beer and gin!
Fortunately there's still 30 dozen bottles of wine so I'm OK for the first six months
I love that you have 360 bottles of wine. Enough for nearly three months lockdown??
