Watching/listening to the 1/2 time analysis on a Saffa feed. It's really, really good.

Nick Mallet is a wise head.

I mean, you can't see Marx at it again not even supporting his own body weight one iota? I'm sure...

Argentina look shithouse and South Africa look really really really dominant.

That’s all u guys need to know if u haven’t watched the game. It was a shit load of penalties given away from Argentina because Sourh Africa were too dominant.

Yuk. What a stop start game. Ref was hard to follow at times. Best rugby happened after 80 minutes was up. De Allende and Reinach were very good today.

NH ref slightly different interpretations - he wasn't always looking for the "lift" by the defender.

@nta he wasn't looking for anything at all if it was a Saffa. If you're an argie, holding on is holding on regardless of what else is going on to "get" the ball.

@arhs hard disagree on Reinach. Charged down twice: a symptom of his ponderous decision making. He wasn’t the only reason the bok attack sputtered but he didn’t help.

On the positive side he did snipe effectively a few times. And the game may well have gone differently if Orie didn’t have cows tits for hands after Reinach’s sweet little outside break and pop.

Given the Hendrikse’s unlucky injury Reinach is going to get some time to fix his decision making on the way to the ruck. Rather hope that Orie isn’t given the same chance.

But I was comforted by that game. The boks have a history of being mentally off every now and again. The way yesterday’s game started it seemed like one of those games where enough boks didn’t pitch with the right mentality. Many of our most frustrating losses started just like this game - the loss to the Argies in Durban springs to mind.

But with Lood, Siya, Am, the back and front threes (apart from Bongi in a rare off day) showing their class, their switched off colleagues didn’t cost them the win. But that’s the get out of jail card used up and plenty of boks now owe the team a big game.

@bones Ledesma would be entitled to push out a turgid, overlong video filled with yellow circles this week…

It’s disorienting to be on this side of that kind of performance.

The one area I thought the ref was pretty good though was the ruck.

But I know how you feel. It’s how I felt about McCaw (and Smith for that matter): they must have been getting their hands on the ball illegally, so often did they fuck up our ball.

@smuts I'm not sure Marx even had his hands on the ball in one of his penalties, he just went full A-frame on the tackled player and got a penalty. It was very NH action doesn't matter but pretend intention does.
