I've got no doubt you can do it mate, you can still eat the shite with the amount of running you'll be doing just less of it. Be much easier if you don't deprive yourself of everything, just only do it on a Sunday or something.

Simple Hooroo, when you are out on the town, less of the drinking and more of the dancing! 😁

(Although handy hint, try not to combine the two, as then you may mysteriously end up on the floor, with wicked bruises the next day......)

so I've heard...... :shifty:

Definitely a happy person too. Unfortunately with my weight the reference is usually "jolly"
so beer intake was only about a crate over the entire week. (Gee that sounds a lot in itself!!!!)
That's still 27 standard drinks!!!

I know you don't need any added motivation Hooroo, but my office is now taking bets on whether you'll make it (they saw me looking at the photos and wanted to know what it was about) so go on, run it for my sake will ya?

Are your 4km runs road running, or a mixture of road and grass to get you started? The Uni fields are a good spot to get some (repetitive) km's under your belt with a slightly lower impact to get you going.

Cheers. I have been for two runs so far this week and it's only TUesday and they have been on as much grass verge as possible. live in Rototuna which has plenty of country side to run round and dodge cars when the verge gets a little narrow.

Every night in Rototuna you'd have to dodge another 5 houses that weren't there yesterday...

Sorry team, will do an extended fortnightly journal for the past two weeks when I get back from duck shooting. Been a bit busy recently.

Then I'll go back to weekly

    Hello Hello Hello.

I know what you have all been thinking. You've known that I have been out pounding the pavement and been too busy to write my journal up, right?? Well sort of right. I have been busy and I have been running but I haven't been running as much as I should.

Only managing about twenty k's per week at the moment

It's been two weeks since my last journal effort and I can let everyone know that I am running up to 10 k's at time with s few shorter 5k's thrown in. I am truly loving being out there and find it rather effortless at the moment but I know that will change.

It all sounds pretty good aye?? Well, I have also been baaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. Really haven't been watching my food and beer intake. For example, I have just had 4 days duck shooting in Southland (28 ducks! Thanks for asking) and our diet consisted of Steak or Bacon sandwich's, Coupland Pies and lambchops washed down with crates and crates of beer and a bottle of Sambuca. Heaven knows how we manage to drop as many ducks as we did. Anyway, although it appears I'm journalling my advocation of guns and alcohol, it's not quite true, I'm hear to lambast myself for the good work put in only to be ruined in one weekend (albeit a mighty fun one).

Back at work tomorrow and I will be running ten k's to see what type of 'training damage' I have done to myself. Don't give up me yet my dear readers as I will be completing this baby, just you watch.

Back to once a week with total k's and excuses next week. Until then it's vegetables, no beer and a general overhaul of my diet.

You're all looking well, thanks for reading

Hooroo

P.S. For those who listen to The Rock, you may have heard me talking about busting the bulge? They asked for an update in the future so you can also keep your ears peeled for that. I will give you a heads up as to when.

Awesome thanks mate. Took about 2 mins to set up and we were away. A bit hazy remembering the test match though and had to watch the replay. Took a little longer for the fire to get going. Was so cold that the deisel would take a while to light. Once the fire was blazing it was peachy.

You remind me of an old mate of mine I went to university with, he was always to lazy to study but to arrogant to fail.. so he always told anyone who would listen how easy the course was and how he was gonna pass easy. It was all a shell and he was bricking it, and this forced him to knuckle down and study.. or face the unbearable humiliation of failing a course he had told everyone was easy and he was going to ace with no effort.

It always worked, he was always motivated to study.

The corelation with you is simply that by going public you are using the same motivational tool. It will work I think.

The difference is, I certainly don't think it is going to be easy and I will really struggle. Certainly not arrogant about it, just finding the shorter runs very comfortable at the moment. I definitely know that will change
