@nzzp ha yea this person would start showing the signs and you'd know the call was coming on Friday/Monday morning....
Although there are those that get sick by watching someone on TV coughing...but you look at thier lifestyle and more often that not, this would be a factor.

@aucklandwarlord Agreeing as I do that the pair broke the law, I’m in two minds about the actual seriousness of what they did.
There is a process that allows people to use exemptions to cross the border. Sure, they misused that but my logic says whoever designed the process accepted that the risks of crossing the border are low, otherwise they would have banned exemptions outright wouldn’t they? If that’s the case does it really matter how far they travel once they are through?
If the process lets them leave it presumes they are safe so why can’t they travel onwards? If Mercer is OK why not Hamilton? Or Wellington… or Wanaka?
The example it sets is clearly not a good one. If I read in the news that these people flout the rules and get away with it, why should I toe the line anymore? Why should I not do whatever I want to and screw the rules?
I didn't go further than walking distance from my home for the three months of the first UK Lockdown but as soon as that fluffybunny went on a jolly to Barnard Castle and got away with it I said fuck it.

Realistically, I'd think about 500 hours of community service - perhaps serving up meals at a homeless shelter - would be about right for Mr. Willis and his partner.
A little overcharging of a pro bono case would solve that little dilemma...

As at 11:59pm 14 September 2021:
As the standard spacing between doses is 6 weeks, hopefully this means that we will have > 70% of 12 yo and over people fully vaccinated in about 6 weeks time.

Stats for 15th just released:
Of interest now is seeing where the bookings may plateau out at.
Since yesterday:
New bookings +13k
First dose + 41k

That's a remarkable turn around. Same first dose percentage as Australia.

Really hope we can get to > 80% fully vaccinated, give over 60's a booster shot, and open borders up.
by my maths .... So that is about 0.31% of people eligible still booking for their first vaccine in one day (yesterday) at this stage of the rollout. No opinion if that is good/bad. By my hunch it shows probably still a fair few percentages in us yet.
78% vaccinated or booked, increased bookings at 0.31% in a day.

Stupid quesstion.
Is the second dose the exact same as the first dose in terms of the ingredient? Or is it slightly different?
the 2nd dose is the one containing the enzymes that complete the change in your DNA....
the first is more about the microchip to be honest
also, if you don't know exactly what is in it, why are you sticking it in your body you sheep?

i feel stupider just for having typed that out, how in the actual fuck can people say shit like that with a straight face?
