Very happy memories of Dad playing this on the car tape deck on long drives. Weird but strangely brilliant.

Musically the best heavy metal band ever, playing on what i consider their best album

chock full of signature Maiden, the 40 seconds from about 2:30 is incredible

It was, which made the early sampler/compilation album from the label ( Virginity) rather weird having Oldfield inserted among the tracks from the Sex Pistols, PiL, Skids, Magazine and XTC.

I’m really disappointed in myself that I haven’t already shared this.

Every member of Maiden is an absolute virtuoso at what they do and they still sound incredible live.

Interesting question as to where is the crossover from "instrumental" to techno or other electronic music?

@tim I’ve got an album from 2002 The Essential John Carpenter. Escape from New York and Assault on Precinct 13 are absolute faves.
