Seemed to me that the TMO was about to give it, as well - there was an awkward pause after, "I have a decision", while he processed "Ooh, fuck, no". :)

Never been a Bird fan but he is finding some great form at the moment. Really looking for work.

Seriously though - pick it up Rebels. You aren't this terribad. This has been a shower.

Debricini in particular is usually a Super Rugby standard number 10 and he has looked Horowhenua standard in this match.

Same as he did in the world cup - back up number 7 on the bench to Hoopah, with Pocock at 8.

I actually think there are better 7s in Aussie than McMahon, yeah he is a beast ball in hand - but he is a bit invisible in the down and dirty rucks. Too concerned with maintaining his GQ good looks and not getting any shiners.

I think he's been the best of the Oz 7s this year ... in all facets of play, maybe you'd appreciate him more if someone squashed his head down Hooper style. ;)

Rolling forward after you have been tackled for an extra metre and go forward has become a standard play this season. Don't really remember it as a feature last year.

Chiefs giving the rabble every chance to make a game of this early in the second half by continually turning the ball over.

Aussie Mike says yes please I'll have some of that generosity.

Chiefs lower themselves to the level of the opposition, add to that some horrible discipline and conceding penalty after penalty and the shit team is in for their first try

I suspect that refs have been instructed to give benefit of doubt to the attacking team. They are quite lax on " not held"

I will admit that I am biased against him as I would like to see Jordie Reid for the Rebels in the number 7 shirt. I am a big Reid fan and believe he would be the wider training group for the ABs if he was a New Zealander. That said given how good McMahon is I can see why he is picked ahead of Reid.

Liam Gill has also been decent so between the incredible number of strong number 7s in Australia I reckon you are a making a big call in saying McMahon is the best, but to each his own.
