Nice to know IMDB can fool us.

No Han Solo to speak of. Disappointed how the Gamoreans went out but the rest of the epsisode absolutely kicked ALL of the arse.

@crucial Did you watch the mid-credits scene? Unless my eyes were deceiving me.

No I didn’t. Bloody credit scenes.

Based on the IMDb ratings this will be a divisive episode. At the moment Ch.7 has a 9.6 rating but reading the comments, the majority are critical of Robert Rodriguez's direction.

So what to make of the finale. No cameos from MH or HF.

Fennec Shand might be my favourite character across both shows. Good to know Cobb Vanth is alive.

For this show, I've been looking to my son's reactions since he's in the target demographic.

He loved Fennec murdering the leaders ("Did she just hang him?!?"), obviously loved the Rancor riding, loved all the action. Was seriously concerned they were going to kill the Wookie who seems to be his favourite.

Was sad that they killed Cad Bane, as he's another favourite of his and was bummed by the lack of a cameo.

Which I think is the main point about most of the show's criticism - expectations get raised by online guesses/rumours and they people get disappointed. Been trying to get my son to just enjoy what he's watching.

It's not a bad show, but the pacing and jumping around (some of the direction) was lacking. From what we saw, if they just told it chronoligcally, then Fett's decision to put down roots and want to rule would have made more sense and it would have felt more gradual.

I wouldn't have had Luke in this one at all as well. It makes me remember JJ talking about the issues writing The Force Awakens, once you have Luke in the story it's hard to to have him not be the focus. I thought the Mandalorian used him perfectly as a climax. Interesingly, that's how Mark Hamill thought he was going to be introduced in TFA - when in the forest the lightsaber is flying through the air, he thought Luke was going to catch it and then take down Ben. Would have been so much better.

Still a solid show with some enjoyable scenes. Fun Star Wars with clear good and bad guys. Good kids show.

How many shots did Evil Chewie take and just keep fighting ? Ridiculous. He seemed to recover so fast.

Some cool scenes but otherwise a complete jumbled mess. Killing Cad Bane was a bit shit IMHO. Plenty of other characters that deserved a good killing.

Has a second season been greenlit for Boba? Hard to see where they go from here.

Yeah all those “kids” survived and the Gamoreans bit the dust. What exactly were they guarding ?

I know they’re not the sharpest tools in the shed but surely someone could have given them a couple of guns ?

The action scenes were cool as fuck though, how good was it seeing a Rancor go nuts like that ?

Not sure if a series is greenlit but they set things up right at the end when Boba says that he isn’t sure that running the town is really their thing. Fennec says someone has to do it but who. Then we see the Marshall in the bacta.

Apparently you only need to blow fire at its face to scare it off.

The whole series has been weird in terms of weapon selection. A well placed sniper could have taken out evil Cheewie but they attacked him with blades? You'd think the Pigs should have at least had those staffs or axes that could also be fired? Like Lando in disguise in ROTJ.

The ideas were decent for this series but unfortunately the execution was pretty poor.

    Right, watched it…really enjoyed it,

not to say there weren’t things to critique (happy evil chewie survived and I bought him shaking off the dog pile and turning back up but yeah, takes too many shots, killing off bane, I feel his character would have cut and run once the tide turned, grogu just using his powers to save the day like season 1 of mando, mods are just a bit weird)

But, using the “how much I looked at my phone” measure, I enjoyed it a lot

Boba didn’t look twice at the dark saber so maybe bo and mando will be the ones leading the way back to mandalore

I did kind of want to see Jedi grogu though

Had another thought, we’ve seen Ahsoka found like, I wonder if here series is going to show where she was during the original trilogy

Edit: another thought re the finale, strikes me as the perfect opportunity for a two parter with a cliff hanger, maybe leave evil chewie’s return a bit longer and cut it with mando off in one direction, all the others in another, boba had disappeared, we think evil chewier is dead….

Could have meant they could have had a bit more build up at the start rather than them just finding out the war had started

@mn5 the fact you missed it kind of suggests it wasn't a big deal 😉

Live-Action Darth Maul Disney Plus Series Reportedly In The Works

A live-action Darth Maul Disney Plus series focused on the iconic character is reportedly in the works at Lucasfilm.

Love action maul series? Could be great but quite a lot of his story was told in clone wars and rebels, so are we going to see his story leading up to us seeing him in menace or are they going to start the telling stores from the animated series?

Thought it was a fun series, too much crossing over which was padding?

They could have done more back story on Boba if they needed storyline surely?

Nice little earner for Tems retirement though I guess!
