Former Wallabies prop Greg Holmes is among three players at the Western Force who have gone into the bad books for drinking alcohol on the team's flight from Melbourne last weekend.

Hooker Andrew Ready and winger Byron Ralston have been stood down for Friday night's clash with the Queensland Reds in Perth.

The Force's lack of options at tighthead means Holmes hasn't been stood down for the match, but he will cop a penalty in the coming week.

It's understood the trio drank wine with their meal on the flight back from Melbourne last Sunday following the team's 28-3 win over the Rebels.

Their decision to drink alcohol when a short turnaround between games awaited them was deemed inappropriate by the team's leadership group.

The trio, who were all named on the bench against the Rebels last week, addressed the player group on Monday to apologise.

Have to say I looking forward to this game, I kind of a Force supporter these day of Aus teams, although I followed Reds when I lived in Brisbane, there is something about the Force I keen on, like what they are doing over there.

No but alchohol after a game isn't good for rcovery. I know they may of had only a couple of glasses of wine and might't hurt, but then next player may think well having 2 more glasses won't hurt etc etc. If you have rules there you have to stick to them, not partially stick to them!

Much more competitive first half than I expected. Force scrum half is a class act so far and the class of Kahui is still evident.

Biggest difference is the Reds tackle percentage. They're holding out the Force whereas the Reds score from very limited opportunity.

13 - 15 with a Reds prop on the naughty chair.

Terribly unjust YC against Red 13 for a lifting tackle.

Reds are going to play 20 mins a man down.

Force decision making at crucial points cost them any chance of a win against a deleted Reds.

Bullshit yellow. Ref and TMO should be tossed
